Chapter 31 : Merry Christmas

Mommy talked to Budoy that we will be leaving this tree tomorrow and it upsets me! Is that how serious she is for hating Cain's family and pushing Pulanbanga away even if she's my twin?

Hindi ko talaga siya maintindihan! Wala siyang sapat na rason para gawin yun!

"Cain, aalis na daw kami, at hindi ko alam kung saan ako dadalhin ni mommy!" thanks God, Cain left his phone to Lapawan and now I'm using his phone to contact him. His voice is so manly over the phone.

I am currently outside the tree now for signal.

"Saan daw? Pupunta kami diyan bukas, kinakausap ko na ang mga magulang ko ukol dito, papayag silang makipag-usap sa mommy mo para sa kasal."

What he said is so shocking that it takes me seconds before responding to him over the line!

"Anong kasal? Ang bata pa natin Cain! At tsaka akala ko ba galit ang pamilya mo samin? Paano mo sila nakumbinsi?"

"Listen Jarred, this is the only way. Ngayong gabi, magkita tayo sa restaurant kung saan kita dinala nong may sumpa ka pa at makikipag-usap si daddy at mommy sayo. Pagkatapos ay tutulak tayo sa mangga mo—"

"You are out of your mind, Cain!" I screamed over the phone, "Hindi mo pinag-iisipan iyang mga plano mo!"

"Listen Jarred, trust me okay?" he calmly said but here I am so hysterical about his stupid plan! I love him okay? But marriage is not the best solution to the problem we are facing today!

"Anokaba Cain! Pwedi naman tong madaan sa usapan. At tsaka hindi papayag si mommy kasi bata pa ako. At isa pa galit siya sa pamilya mo."

"Itatakas kita." his voice is firm and very sure.

"What?"

"Itatakas kita, Jarred."

"You're making everything worse, Cain. We can just talk to mommy, we can just convince her!"

"It's either I will marry you or I will run you away. That's it."

"Napakabobo mo naman—" then he suddenly hang up! He doesn't even let me share my own suggestions! He's buying his own stupid plan!

I'm bothered what to do! I'm bothered if I should talk to him tonight and go to the restaurant he's talking about or just think of some convincing words for my hard-headed mom! She's the root of all of this! She let her past destroys her present and it is so pitiful of her to be like that!

Pagpasok ko sa mangga, iba ang nadatnan ko. Nakikinig lang si Budoy at si Lapawan sa dalawang nilalang nagsasagutan, ayaw sumali sakanila at nagpapakumbaba lang.

At ang dalawang nagsasagutan ay si mommy at si Pulanbanga! This enkanto is here again and I'm sure this is another hell of a ride again! She's still wearing the same attire as yesterday and my mom is now very hysterical again.

Gosh, my mom! I've never seen her being like this! She's like a mentally ill person being so out of control! I should be worried!

"Matagal na po akong nangungulila sa pagmamahal ng isang pamilya. Matagal na po akong nag-iisa at matagal ko na po kayong hinahanap kaya—"

"Tumahimik ka enkanto!" mommy is pointing her fingers at her and she is shaking from intense anger, "Ayaw kong makita ang pagmumukha mo! Ilang beses ko bang dapat sabihin sayo na kahit anong mangyari ay hindi kita ituturing na anak! Kaya nga kita ginawang kapalit ng kalayaan ko diba? Kasi mas importante pa ang kalayaan ko kumpara sa buhay mo! Kaya umalis kana dito!"
