"Where's Mr. Pierce?" Jill asked in my ear. I was still looking around, wondering if he would be late.

"I don't know," I yelled back to her. "Keep an eye out for the phantom of the opera though." She looked me over and laughed.

"Is that why you dressed like that?" I nodded with a big smile. "Careful, Blair. He might think you're tryin' to put out." I blushed but was happy that it was too dark in here to tell.

"Maybe I am," I told her a little low. She seemed to have heard me though. Her eyes widened. I didn't tell her because I didn't want her to freak out on me.

"We're talking about sex, right?" I sighed, forgetting who I was talking to.

"Where did your sister run off to?" I asked. She looked around, confused as I was.

"Possibly the kitchen?" I nodded, thinking of maybe getting a drink myself.

"Coming?" I asked as I moved away from her. She did a double take at someone in the back of the crowd. I tried to follow her gaze to see what guy she was checking out. There was a girl in a slutty nurses outfit and a guy in a doctors costume. I guess Jill had a thing for doctors. "They look like they're dating," I warned her. She shook her head as she kept her eyes on them. The guy looked interested in girls passing by him while the girl he was with seemed bored.

"She's breaking up with him." How did she know that? Had she been stalking this guy to find out that information?

"Why are you interested?" I asked oddly. Why would Jill want some guy that checks out other girls while standing next to his girlfriend? That didn't seem like her. Jill just shrugged as she smiled at them.

"We've been talking here and there. We have so much in common and... He knows he doesn't make her happy and she's admitted to never feeling the same way about him. She wants something else." I would want something else too if my boyfriend was sleazy enough to check out girls with me around.

       "Jill... I don't- "

"Oh shit, he saw me staring." Jill looked down at her hands and frowned. "He can't know... " He didn't even know she liked him? Was this really what Jill wanted? I had to be open minded I guess. What if he was just putting on a show? What if he just wanted to make his girlfriend break up with him so he didn't have to do it? That sounded bad too... Well, if this is what Jill wanted...

"I say go for it," I told her. She looked up to me and seemed confused. Almost as if she hadn't expected me to be on board.

"Really? You don't think there's anything wrong with me?" For going after a guy in a relationship that may or may not be an asshole?

"Does this person make you happy? Are they going to be good to you?" She nodded, smiling happily.

       "Yes."

"Then go for it. Go break them up yourself if this means that much to you." Did I really just say that? Jill smiled big as she nodded. She looked at them but then shook her head at me.

"Maybe not here." I laughed with her, feeling better that she wasn't so stressed out about this guy.

I'd left Jillian alone to dance with a group of girls. She seemed to be having fun. I was feeling anxious the longer I waited for Jake. I figured a drink or two wouldn't hurt. As I made my way to the kitchen, I noticed Tanya sitting on the kitchen counter. She was chugging a beer by herself.
