My mind is too occupied to the point that I don't know which thought should I think about. This is really frustrating the hell out of me. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like I am behind every school work and yet I don't know which one to start. Meanwhile, my classmates are secretly going outside with their bags. Wala naman talagang ginagawa. I know for myself that I need to study but I just don't want to. I don't want to do it anymore.
I tried reading on my Kindle but no one can focus kung ganito kaingay ang classroom. I ended up thinking but... heavenly god, I don't know where my thoughts are leading. One thing for sure is they aren't that good.
The door slammed dramatically. "Good morning, kids!"
Sir Maro entered the room. He's carrying something heavy, and I think it is a digital piano. Nagkatinginan kami ni Calvin. We're both clueless about what's about to happen. Well, everyone is.
"Wala kayong ginagawa dahil may isinasagawang pagpupulong ang nakatataas kaya tayo muna'y magsasaya." He said while fixing the digital piano. Looks like he's gonna play for us.
"Ano pong gagawin, sir?" Medina asked. Yeah, they're close.
"Let me introduce myself first. I'm Sir Maro and I am the assistant brother of Sir Melvin, the producer slash manager slash supervisor of the successful recent stage play." Oh, yeah, right. "So, sinong marunong mag-piano rito? We're gonna show off some skills."
Medina proudly raised her hand. Then she looks at me. I just looked away and shrugged. Well, I know how to do that but I don't practice and I stopped my interest in it since my father has gone away.
"Yes, you, kilala kita! And, alam ko meron pa e..." Nanliit ang mata ni Sir Maro habang may hinahanap.
"Sir Maro, ito po!" Lily pointed at me.
"Yes, of course, si Miss Jenna!"
"Sir, I do not play anymo--" I stopped when I realized this is pointless. I glared at Lily so bad.
Nagkatinginan lang kami ni Medina. Her eyebrow lifted up a little, combining a mischievous smile. Sir Maro displayed the piano in front and set it all up. Since Medina is right in front, mauna na siya. I don't want to do that. I know Medina is playing when we were having our rehearsal break but I know I can do so much than what she knows. But that was before. I doubt it now. I don't have time to do that.
"Medina, you play first."
Umupo sa harap si Medina. Her eyes are glued to me like she's challenging me to compete with her. I watched Medina carefully. She warmed up with scales. Then as always, and as expected, it's in C Major.
"What are you gonna play, Medina?" Sir Mari asked after the piece.
"River Flows in You," she said like it is the most difficult piece in the world.
I almost choked. I swear, I've heard enough of that like Canon in D.
"Ang yabang nitong bruhang 'to ah," sabi ni Lily. "Girl, naiinis ako ha. Sapakin ko siya mamaya."
"Mauuna kitang masapak, Lily. You dragged me into this mess."
"I know your father taught you to play. When we were in eighth grade, you played, right?" bulong niya.
"Yes but, that's... I don't play anymore."
I watched Medina as she plays. She's too competitive to the point that she's overdoing it. She's trying to make it look like it's hard so she ended up messing it. She's a bit too fast and there's too much pedal and it's a bit aggressive. It's not recognizable to others though. My classmates are too mesmerized by her playing. I think even Fur Elise alone will amaze them. Or even Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. They clapped their hands pagkatapos na pagkatapos niyang tumugtog.
