I didn't eat dinner last night and now I have a horrible headache. I feel like I'm dying inside but the person that is feeling that way is Louis. Im not as upset as I was yesterday. I do my normal routine that I do every school day. It gets a little overwhelming waking up every day, eat breakfast and getting dressed for the rest of my life. I walk towards the closet, and I scan through my clothes. I just go for a simple casual look. I grab my light blue skinny jeans and a crop top that says "diamond". I also grab my black Converse and diamond earrings. I grab my backpack and I walk downstairs. I see my mom looking out of the window with a mug in her hand. The soft morning light shines in and hits her, making it look lighter then it naturally is. I can see that something is wrong because there isn't a second mug on top of the dining table. Usually there always is another mug on top of the table for my dad. Maybe he left early for work or something. I don't let that worry me, because its nothing. Its just a little thing that won't affect your life in any way. But my dad always told me that the littlest things can be the most affective ones. I just ignore it and I walk towards her.

"Hey mom." She keeps on staring out the window. Her eyes look empty like if there isn't a story behind them. Her skin is pale, and I can see a tear rolling down her cheek.

"Mom what's wrong?" I quickly walk towards her and I place my hand on her shoulder. She looks back from her shoulder, and gives me a smile. The color from her face finally comes back, and her eyes shine bright. She puts a hand on her stomach and looks down.

She answers with a smile."Im pregnant. Im having a baby." My mouth drops open and I take my hand away from her shoulder. It takes me a dew seconds to realize that this is real. My mom is pregnant. She has always been saying that she wanted to have another baby but that was like a couple of years ago. I'm happy but this is going to change the family.

"I just found out this morning." I grab my mom's mug from her hand and I set it down on the table.

"Don't you think you should have talked to Melissa and I about this?"

"This was a decision that your father and I agreed on. You girls are going to college soon and I have been wanting a baby for a while." My mom should have still talked to us because we are also part of the family, but its true that Melissa and I are going to college soon. I just nod because there is nothing to say back. I walk towards the top cabinet to grab a bowl to make myself some cereal. My mom follows me while I grab the cereal box of frosted flakes from the top of the fridge. I grab the milk carton from the fridge and a spoon.

"Can you please be happy."

"What makes you think I'm not happy?" I pour myself some milk in a bowl and cereal. I sit down at the table and I begin to eat.

"Rose I know you. I know when your upset or mad or when your just feeling something."

"Mom. If you actually know me then you would know that I'm happy for you."

"Fine." She sits next to me and stares at me. I stop eating and I look up to her.

"Can you not say a word to Melissa about the baby thing. I want to personally tell her." I nod again and she stands up. She fixes her skirt that she uses for the office. She gives a few strokes to her hair with her fingers before walking away. Her shoes hit the floor and the farther she walks away, the lower you can hear them. They remind me of when I was walking up the sidewalk yesterday to go inside the coffee shop. I continue to eat my cereal and a few seconds later Melissa walks down the stairs.

"Yes I will be there. I won't be late, I promise." She talks to someone on the phone. She hangs up and opens the fridge to get some orange juice.

"Who was that?" I say after I swallowed a spoon full of milk from my cereal.

"It was Armani. She wanted me to go to the talent show try outs today. Are you trying out?" I really don't know if I want to try out but I should be constrained in other things. Plus I don't think I would do bad.

"Yeah. Can I go with you guys?" She smiles and claps her hands with excitement.

"Yes of course." She turns around and I could have sworn that she smirked at me before turning around.

I open my mouth to say something, but instead I close it.
