I dove under the water, Zach was swimming the opposite way and I was glad of that. I swam towards Celeste and grabbed her wrist pulling her against the coral reef. We hid in the reef and watched Zach pass but he sharply turned around we hid and swam slowly in the water.

We picked up the pace, swimming faster as we got away.I turned around and saw Zach swimming the opposite way, he turned around but then we sped up to at least 100mph. We got above the water "He didn't see us did he?" Celeste said.

"I hope not. We best get back and find Aunt Rosa" I say.She nods and we swim quickly away from the reef.

We ran up the steps to the grotto and found everybody sitting on the floor staring at a glass of water "Mom something happened!" Celeste cried out "It's Zach, somehow he's a merman. Lyla believes it is somehow connected to the necklace he wears"

Everybody got up and stood up the girls mumbled and whispered but Aunt Rosa spoke up "It can't be! It's against mermaid laws and mermaid nature!"

We nodded our heads and sat down "His tail was a dark blue. A land boy named Luke was with him on a boat" I told.

Echo looked up "We best get to the Ocean Cafe, that's where they hang out anyway. We need to get close to Zach and take the necklace" I looked at Echo, she had somehow grown to like the idea of going to the Ocean Cafe. I knew this was for that Land Boy Ethan, she had fallen for him and hadn't woke up to reality.

Once we reached the cafe, we physically ran. I didn't know why, Zach wouldn't know how I knew this and he would question us. Celeste came with us, when we were inside the Cafe Echo had split up from us and ventured to find Ethan. I scanned the room, watching every land person until I found Zach.

He sat in the corner, chatting to Luke. I started to walk but Celeste stopped me "We can't go straight up to him. We will look too suspicious, let's just grab a table and watch. That way he will come to us" She said.

I nodded I followed Celeste to a large table, we sat down and I watched. Then a girl approached us,

blonde hair was tied up in a bun and showed too much skin even a mermaid wouldn't show that much. "Hi guys can I get you anything today?" The land girl asked.

"Just some water please Charlotte" Celeste replied.

The land girl smiled and walked away "You know her?" Addison asked.

Celeste huffed "She's my best friend"
