Maya and Melody were the first ones up the next morning, i was woken up by the two of them placing small seashells on the side of the Ravine scraping the ground with the seashells making small patterns into the ground. "Could you be anymore louder?" I said to them,

"Sorry, Melody and I got up early and went across the reef to search for some seashells for new hairstyles" Maya told me.

I shrugged and swam over to where they both sat and allowed them both to style my hair with the new seashells. In the end the girls did my hair with a small plait going down my hair with it bringing small pieces of seashells into it. By the time the girls had finished Nixie, Addison and Echo had awoken from their endless sleep.

"So today we find the second piece and at least look for the 3rd piece" I said "But I'm going for a swim first thing" Echo and Addison nodded and then I took off, leaving the girls to themselves. Within a flash i had disappeared from the ravine and travelled along the reef, watching the dolphins swim by and the small fish travel in schools.

Once I came to the land of the harbour I quickly grabbed some new clothes off the deck that humans had left lying around. I had gotten a brown skirt that looked like something a merl would wear and a small white shirt. I scrambled on to a near by beach which humans rarely went on and quickly turned back into a human.

The sound of laughing land people came by and I quickly got changed. The humans came by but I was in no condition to run, once I got up to my feet walked along the beach until I came to the human cafe that I had been to yesterday. As I approached the cafe somebody knocked beside of me and I fell over, I looked up but I could only see paper flying everywhere.

"Are you Okay?" The voice said behind me.

"I'm fine" I answered back.

I turned around to see a human boy not much older than my age picking up the paper quickly, the land boy had dark brown hair with matching eyes and small glasses were on his head. I helped pick up the pages, when I turned one over I saw a picture of a mermaid, a human statue made of it. And writing about mermaids.

"Here you go, sorry I must have been in the way" I say to him.

"No, it was me" He replied, i looked up and found his eyes "I'm Zach by the way"

"I'm Lyla"

Zach smiled and I found my feet so he took my hand and helped me up. Zach had continued to smile and I quickly sneaked one of his mermaid pages into a pocket I had found in my dress. Once we were both up to our feet we stood in silence until Zach spoke again.

"So, you new around here?"

I nodded in responce, he smiled again and I looked straight at his face until I found a necklace around his neck. It was gold, small and in the shape of a seashell, that's when I recognised it was the piece of the tablet I had to find, it was finally in reach but around a boys neck.

"Would you let to come inside and get a drink?" He asked.

"Sorry, I, um, have to go. Maybe see you later?" I said trying to sound human.

His smile quickly faded but mine was yet to remain and I walked backwards, trying to find my footsteps as I walked. Once I came to the end of the pier I ran off an dived quickly into the water.

"The third peice, a human has it!" I cried out "It was being worn by a human, this must have been what Jonas told us about. We each have selected pieces of the tablet, we never really took much notice as whos peice is whos but Jonas said that one was mine"

Addison and Echo looked up from both of them reading their books "Well you were right about how each of us have our own peices. The one that we found yesterday was Melody's peice, but we might as well get the next peice now. Identify it and then we can see who is left" Addison said.

We nodded and we were out there in a flash.

We had arrived back at cafe while Echo talked to Ethan about where the school was, but in the end we were escorted by Ethan quickly to his school. 'Jackson High School'. Once we made it to the school Ethan escorted us around, we scanned each square inch of a single room looking for that simple piece. Until we stopped in what was called referring to Ethan, The Principal Office. I cocked my head at the name and looked at him.

"Well are'nt you guys gonna go inside?" Ethan asked "You are going to apply for the school? Since you guys are new around here, plus theres not a single school for 10 miles so its pretty big! Well i will leave you guys to it, i have class now anyway" He turned to face Echo "Bye, Echo"

Echo slowly started to blush and smiled at the same time, i huffed when Ethan was out of sight. I used my powers to simply turn invisable, finally mermaid school had been a purpose. But then the girls did the same so we could not see one another.

Once we entered the room, it was completely empty. I looked around and then saw it on the wall, the third peice.
