ZACHS POV

"The rush, oh Luke it is amazing!" I began "I can breathe under water, I bet you I could stay under for hours without even knowing it!"

Luke grinned "Well you still have to quit the swim team and give up your job as a lifeguard. Then you have to tell your dad about this-"

"Woah!" I cut him off. "No way am I telling my dad! He would tell the world and soon I would be on display in a world renounced museum with 'The Merman!' On show. He is still in a major wreck after losing Mom, I can't tell him. WE can't tell anybody, especially Shayla"

Luke nods and his eyes move from his drink to something behind me "Somebody else you shouldn't tell" Luke nodded her head, I turned around to see Lyla, Celeste and her friends all sitting around one table. She didn't look up towards me, but when she looked in my direction and stared yet not smiled.

"You like her don't you?" Luke asked, I nodded "Well don't be a daisy and ask her out"

I looked back to Luke, "Ask her to Shayla's party?"

"Well, if you want to make Shayla jealous and make her throw a hissy fit then ask her out. All the guys on the soccer team are going to ask her out soon. They even told me, so I would suggest you ask her out while we are still here and still 16 young and ready for anything" He said.

I shrunk back in to my seat, "Fine" I huffed. I got up from my seat, i walked towards her. I found her eyes and she found mine, she smiled her pure pearly white teeth stood out. All of her friends turned around and looked surprised, yet Lyla did not.

"Hi Zach" She purred.

"Hi Lyla, I was just wondering. Me and my friend Luke" I turned around and Luke did a smooth wave that girls at our school would fall for "Were going to a party tomorrow night and I was wondering if you would like to come?" I asked "Bring Celeste and your friends too"

Lyla's eyes travelled to every friend, all nodded "Sure, we would love to"

I smiled and told her I would come pick them up at their house. I slowly started to walk away and headed back towards my table, Luke did a Is that a Yes? Face. I nodded and he fist bumped me when I got to my seat.

"Well Fishboy, looks like you landed yourself a date to Shayla's party" Luke said, he looked over to the girls and then faced me "And I might too"
