I found my way to the beach and walked over in a fast pace, my legs burning and my head full of thoughts. I needed that necklace, i had to get that necklace, that necklace is my last hope. And so on. It all revolved around Zach and that necklace, or the tablet piece. Once i had made it to the beach i walked along the smooth sand looking around for him.

I had found myself to be walking what seemed like hours turned out to only be minutes, yet he was no-where in sight i walked past a sign that read 'Lifeguard' this was a common thing of humans. Having other humans reach out for you, yet if you knew what was right or wrong you would stick to it in the mer realm you knew what was good or bad and you would stay away.

Yet, some mermaids never lived by rules, a mermaid region named Cerulea was close to the land peoples realm of Italy on its coast. The merfolk there lived with no rules or no such dinity, messing with land people yet never went on to land.

When i walked past the lifeguard post i sat down where the small waves nearly touched my feet. The sea air rushed over me, everything was perfect and yet that would not be my reality from behind i heard a slight whistle that i noticed most land boys did when i walked past.

"Well well well, look who came to the beach" The voice said behind me, i turned around to see it was Luke the Land Boy "Shouldnt you be mopin' with your fishy friends?"

I stood in my place, my mind raced with Zach. He must have told him, and told him that me and my friends were mermaids born in the ocean and never heard of a telephone until this day.

"What are you doing here Land Boy?" I asked.

He came up to me, and spun around his shirt read 'Lifeguard' i huffed and folded my arms "Listen Lyla. Zach is still pretty upset about you not telling him the truth, but personally i would be relieved that i had found somebody like you. We dont see eye to eye on everything me and him, but i dont see what is his big deal,

"Why dont you and I take a stroll, girls like to talk about their feelings so i think mermaids should too" He said, he held his arm out in a C position i smiled "Coming?"

I nodded.

Luke and I took a walk along the beach, he told me how he liked Nixie. Dark and devilish he told me was his type, i did not know what this meant so i just nodded along. He told me about Zachs mother had been friends with my Aunt Rosa, i perked up at the sound of it as Aunt Rosa had not even told me this infomation.

Then we talked about my background, how i had a brother and he was staying for a few days. What region i had came from, i spoke little about the mermaid world as it was something i didnt talk about. Luke mostly did the talking, all i said was how i felt like a normal land girl should.

"So why is Zach annoyed because I tried to protect him?" I asked.

Luke raised his eyebrows "You were tying to protect him? I thought you just didn't want him to know you were a mermaid. Not that you wanted to protect him, but from what may I ask?"

"The truth, how there is a whole another world out there. The necklace is affecting him, all of us can see it"

He nodded and then opened his bottle of water and started drinking out of it I moved an inch away but then Luke put his arm around me with the water swishing about but them he tilted the water towards me with all of it spilling over me "Luke!" I shouted.

He started laughing and then out of nowhere Zach appeared, a smirk on his face. I ran towards the sea and dived in out of sight .
