I put the necklace around my neck and walked away without saying another word, the merls and Cato followed after me. I hugged Cato and smiled "We will be together again Cato!" I told him, he smiled and we ran towards the sea.

"The full moon is in a few days, you can't travel back in time. It's too far from Bermuda, all of your energy has been used on legs" Cato said "But there is another way, before I left Bermuda I found something in a parchment. You can still become Gildeds by using Merrow's power hold the golden tablet above the full moon. Where the hole in its mountain is the full moons energy will take control,

"From that the chosen mermaids will be Gildeds, but they have to be in water"

We all looked at Cato anger bubbled inside of me "Why didn't you tell me this earlier!" I screamed at him, my feet were now in water and I only had a few seconds I pushed him back and ran into the water with Cato following after me.

ZACHS POV

Goodbye swimming, goodbye holding my breath forever and goodbye Lyla.

I climbed out of the fountain my merman body was still there, I lied on the thick grass thinking about what to do. I didn't have any powers like Lyla or know any spells like Melody all I knew was I needed something to dry off with. My bag was up against the fountain and I fished inside for some tissues, I quickly started drying wishing this wouldn't be the last.

A half hour later I was a human again, and now forever. I grabbed my backpack and headed towards where the rest of the school was, lined up outside and waiting for me. But I still had another half hour left before anybody would spot me, I ran out of school and to the beach.

The beach was dead quiet only the few old people on it but nothing left, there were too kids playing in the wares with water guns. I walked up to the water sand filling in my shoes, I wondered if I was still unseen but it didn't bother me.

I was so close the water was touching my shoes, the boys who were playing in the water came running out still playing with their water guns. Once the ran past me I was pelted with water "Hey! What's wrong with you boys!" I shouted.

They didn't hear, even though I stood right next to them but before they even looked I fell on to the sand, not because I was pushed over but when I looked down I knew the answer.

I was still a merman.

The boys looked in my direction yet when I waved my hand towards them they didn't take any notice, I was still invisible i grabbed my backpack and pushed myself to the water. "Looks like I will be paying Lyla a little visit" I said to myself.

I held my backpack up above the water and put it up against a rock, I thought about Lyla how she lied to me but why?

I swam quickly, I didn't know which way to turn. So I swam towards Merrow a place for me to think and I could clear my head but I wondered as to where she went, to get that necklace it had to be important to her but it was more important to me.
