ZACHS POV

She lied to me.

I kept saying it over and over again.

She lied to me.

Why?

I met up with Luke in the Ocean Cafe, once we sat down I explained everything. How Lyla is a born mermaid and how she wanted my necklace, how the principal and Celeste are too but I just wanted some answers about why did she have to lie to me?

"They're mermaids?" Luke said.

"All along" I said.

He nodded "Well you know what this means then?" He began, I shook my head and put my hands on my head "Revenge, all of them even the principal. Expose them, Lyla and the girls lied she lied about her past and what else is she keeping from us?"

"Revenge"

I like the sound of that.

"So where do we start?" I asked, Luke smiled.

"Well they are mermaids? Why not try to expose them? Get the girls close to water? And get the questions out of them before anybody sees. This is crucial then we can find out whatever we like, what this golden tablet is, a Gilded and what a 16th Moon is?" He said to me, I nodded and then we got up from our table and walked quickly out of the cafe.

We walked along the pier, and when we came to the end of it water kept splashing up but I didn't mind, the sea was just below us. "Hey Luke I'm goin' for a swim, care to join me?" I said.

"Nah, gotta go to lifeguard duty. Go for a swim il cya later Kay?" He replied, I nodded and he started to walk away. I stood on top of the bannister and dove into the water before I was spotted, once I hit the water my legs disappeared and that was replaced by my silver and blue tail.

Once the water flushed over me I began to swim towards the coral reefs all the colours flushed in reds and blues and pinks. I had been swimming for over an hour and when I started to head back I saw a glimpse of a turquoise tail.

I thought it was Lyla, but her tail was darker. I swam closer, closer close enough to see it wasn't any mermaids but a merman. The merman had blonde hair with a built body, he turned to face me and looked a lot like Lyla. The merman stared at me and then quickly swam away.
