"Okay. Yeah.. Yeah thanks. Goodbye." I sigh heavily as I hang up the phone and toss it on the table in front of me. James sits at the dinner table across from me and curiously picks up my phone to sniff it. "You can play on it if you want." I watch his eyes change to a light yellow as he clicks the button on and jumps as the phone lights up. I bite my lip to hold back my giggles as he swipes the screen hesitantly, the hairs on his head standing straight up along with his long ears. "Your like a cat." I tease and he growls shortly at me before turning his attention back my my device. "You know what game I know you'll like?" I grab my phone from his and click on my sniper shoot out game. "Try this." I slide the phone back to him and he watches it warily. A man's scream is heard before a bullet goes off and kills the man. James lips turn into a wicked smile as his eyes turn to a soft red. "I see your busy so I'll be back in a second." He doesn't even acknowledge me as he watches the game tutorial.

By the time I come back I'm not surprised to see James hunched over my phone and shooting civilians heads off on the screen. "You know you only have one target...right?" I raise an eyebrow as I sit next to him with my laptop. He looks at me and quickly nods his head before turning back to the game to kill even more people. "I'm scared to show you GTA." I grumble warily as I turn on my lap and type in house hunters. "Grandpa moved from Arizona to Maine when the government found them which was stupid in my opinion. I say we leave country and travel to.." I scroll down the list and stop, "Ireland!" My hands clap excitedly as I begin searching for Lowkey towns and small villages in Ireland. "How does that sound, James?" He only looks at the computer screen for a second before nodding once again and turning back to my phone.

"You are no he-" the doorbell rings loudly and we both fall silent. He quickly clicks the phone off before standing up silently, his finger moves to his lips to silence me before he turns down the hall. I sit in the kitchen as the doorbell goes off again. James reappears, "Man. Weak. Go." His words are clipped as he whispers and I nod my head quickly before running to the door, I swing it open quickly, "H-Hello?"

A man in his early thirties stood at the door. He had to be six feet at least and had dark brown hair and beautiful green eyes. His build was lean under his thick black trench coat. A silver dog tag hug over his thin grey sweater that complimented his black dress pants and shoes. "Hello. I'm your neighbor, Derek Johnson." He extends his hand and I politely take it but gasp as he lifts mine to his lips and gives it a small kiss. He lingers for a second before letting it go slowly, making my cheeks heat up, "W-Well hello Mr. Johnson. I'm.." I hesitate before stepping to the side, "A-Annette Birdie!" He steps inside as he shrugs off his coat. "Nice to meet you, Ms.Birdie." He says nods to me and I smile back.

"Please! come have some tea." I lead him towards the kitchen and watch James leave the room just before we enter. I suck in a breath but play it off as a cough, "Are you okay, Annette?" He asks as his hand lands on my waist. I blush and nod my head quickly, "Y-Yes I'm fine!" I rush out and step away from him, "Have a seat." I motion to the kitchen table and he quickly takes a seat.

I smile before turning away to grab the tea, in the top cabinet. I reach up for it and barely reach the top shelf where it sits. Derek chuckles behind me before his heavy footsteps sound closer, "Need some help?" I jump as his voice is right in my ear. His large body pushes me against the counter as he reaches up to smoothly grab the tea. I don't miss how hard he presses his crotch against my bum.

"T-Thank you, sir." I whisper shakily as he steps back with the box in his hand. I hesitantly take it from him and grab some mugs for us. "So why was the tea on the top shelf? You seem too short to put it up there." He smirks and I turn away from him, trying to focus my shaking hands on making the tea. "My boyfriend likes to tease me." I fidget with the kettle as I pout the hot water in the mugs, "He's super tall and likes to put things up high so I can't reach." He laughs as he leans in closer, "And where is he, little one?" He asks and I jump back before pushing the warm mug into his big hand, "W-W-Work." I say simply and quickly walk to the table, Derek not far behind.

"Well that's a shame. I would have loved to meet my neighbor.. especially with all these murders going on.." I choke on my drink and he gives me a side eye, "Would be a shame if it was one of you both." He says and take a sip of his drink. I only nod my head warily. "So.. what does your "boyfriend" do in this small town. Must have good pay if he owns this place." He asks and I bite my lip, "H-He does construction when needed and sometimes handiwork." I tap my fingers against my mug, "We both payed for this place.. I'm an illustrator." I say and he nods his head in understanding, "Must he a damn good artist." He says and I nod my head quickly with a small smile, "Yes, sir. I sure am." He chuckles and finishes his tea, "It was nice seeing you." He says and I nod in agreement, "Especially your eyes.." I lean in closer, "They are so.. green." I stare in amazement and his lips drop to a frown but he quickly fixes it back into a smile, "Goodnight, Ms.Birdie." He says and I walk him to the door then help him put on his coat. "Goodbye." I wave and he walks out with the door slamming behind him.
