I walk into the cafeteria and sit down with Katie.

"Katie, I love you, but I know you want to sit with your friends. Go. I'll be fine."

"Annie, you're my best friend. I care about you way more than all of them combined."

"If you say so."

"Ay yo Leblanc!" I turn to see the table full of popular guys staring at me. I roll my eyes and turn back around.

"You're kind of lucky you know. No guys ever look at me." I hear my friend say at an attempt to throw me a bone.

"Well none of those guys deserve you."

"I guess." She sulks.

"I'm talking to you!" The dude calls at me again. I ignore it.

"I'm throwing a little party this weekend. Your friend can come too!" The rest of them laugh. I finally turn my head around.

"Shut the fuck up, Hayden."

"Hey!" A teacher comes up to me. Shit.

"What's your name?"

"Susan." I blurt out. Katie rolls her eyes.

"Come with me, Susan."

I get up from the table and wave goodbye to my friend.

"I'm sure you know that the language you used is very inappropriate and cannot be tolerated in the learning environment." The man leans over his desk.

"We aren't in class yet, we're not learning anything." I'm really digging myself deeper into this hole, aren't I?

"Enough with the attitude, please, or I'll have to call your parents."

"Go right on ahead." Like I would care.

"Dial the number then." He shrugs. I walk up to the phone and after a few rings my mom picks up.

"Hello, this is Jason Webers(idk why thats the name that came off the top of my head) calling from Attaway High School regarding your daughter Susan."

"I'm sorry, I don't have a daughter by that name." He pauses.

"Please hold."

"Who are you lying to here, young lady?" 'Young lady'? No thanks. I hold out my hand for him to shake it.

"Julianna, nice to meet you." He sighs.

"I'm sorry. Julianna."

"Oh, yes. This is her mother."

"Your daughter directed some foul language toward a peer this morning and now she seems to have an attitude."

"Oh, I'm sorry,"

"Not to worry. This is just a warning, but it must be taken seriously. This is a learning environment and this kind of language is offensive. If this sort of thing happens again she can expect serious consequences ." Again with that. The cafeteria is not a learning environment, man.

"Okay. We won't let this happen again. Once again, deepest apologies."

"You enjoy the rest of your day."

"Thank you for letting me know."

"Bye now." Who says that?

He hangs up.

"Please move on to class now."

"I need a note." I cross my arms. He scribbles on a sticky note and signs it.

"Once again, try to control the attitude. have a nice day."

"You too" I say sarcastically.

I walk into class and hand the teacher my note.

"Katie, please show Annie where we are."

"Of course." She turns to me and begins to whisper.

"Page 32. What happened?"

"He took me to the office, called my mom, and told me to fix my attitude. Nothing special." I say flatly as I flip through my English book.

"Annie, this needs to stop. You're in high school. Records matter. You can't keep getting in trouble all the time."

"It isn't my fault that popular dudes think that all depressed girls are vulnerable enough to 'score' with."

"Ew."

"Exactly how I feel."

"Do they know you like girls?"

"Does it matter? I have a feeling it doesn't."

She sighs and we continue on with class.

Second period. I part with my only friend and step into my next class which includes the one and only Hayden Summerall. Excellent. If he so much as opens his mouth in my direction I'm gonna have to apologize to Katie, because I'll be right back in the principal's office.

We have to watch an hour-long video about the civil war. Sounds easy, but the teacher always makes us take notes when none of us want to pay attention. We don't anyway, but still.

"I have to use the bathroom y'all. Lauren, you're in charge." The teacher stands up.

Lauren Orlando. One of Jayden Bartels' best friends and every class's teacher's pet. Obviously, she's just as nice as Jayden and mostly everyone else. I hate that. It's hard to hate the popular girls when they're good people.

Her brother on the other hand, not so nice.

The popular boys are basically all dicks.

Johnny, Hayden, Carson, Asher, all of 'em. They prey on any female they see. I'm not even scared of them anymore. I'm used to it, plus it might do some good if any of them decide to harm me in some way.

"Finally that prick is gone." Hayden puts his feet up on his desk.

A/N
I ain't no fake stan y'all. I'm aware Lauren and Johnny aren't twins, but it's easier to write them that way so same as my last story, they will be twins in this story.
