After rolling onto my bed, I pick up my phone and see an expected new text from Jayden to the groupchat.

Sky- wow this is gonna be pretty small
Kenzie- I like it small though. Nothing will get out of hand
I ignore the messages underneath and focus on two specific names. I sigh and start a private message to just Jayden.
Me- why are you inviting those dickheads
Jayden❤️- I'm guessing you mean Hayden and Johnny
Me- obviously
Jayden❤️- maybe they'll surprise you. I'm sure they can't be TOTAL idiots
Me- but why did you invite them in the first place??
Jayden❤️- well Lauren has a crush on Hayden and Kenzie obviously has a crush on Johnny. I'm just trying to help out my girls. Oh and I'm pretty sure Sky is into Darius lol
Me- fine. What about Armani
Jayden❤️- he was supportive when I posted that picture and he said he wants to try being friends. I promise he's not like those other guys
Me- if he tries to make a move on you I am kicking his ass out the door I don't care if it's your house

I make my way back to the groupchat and read the new messages.

Lauren- I would say casual I guess but two years ago I personally made the decision that everyone has to wear white, black, or red
Lauren- or like a respectable dark green
Me- That narrows down my options quite a bit
I step over to my closet and begin to look through all the clothes that I have hung up. More specifically, my more recent purchases since I guess I'm supposed to fit in well tomorrow night.
I settle on some red leggings and a white sweater.
I lay them out and hear a knock on my door.
"What?"
"Are you naked?" I hear the muffled voice of my little sister on the other side of the door.
"No." I make a 'What the fuck but okay' face before she opens the door.
"Have you gotten a gift for Jayden yet?"
"How do you know we're even getting each other gifts?"
"Because you're dating, you imbecile. How old do you think I am??"
"Whatever. Why do you ask?" I sigh.
"Because I need to get stuff for my friends and mom is taking us now."
"I'll be right down." I unplug my phone from the charger and Hayley leaves. I drop my phone in my bag and put my hair up before heading downstairs.
