6 months later -Annie's POV- I wake up wrapped in Jayden's arms.
"Hey." I whisper, twirling a lock of her hair around my finger.
She slowly awakens and gives me a soft smile.
"Morning." I get out of bed and move closer to my wall now covered in pictures. I focus on a photo of my big brother and trace a small heart around his face with my finger.
"Happy birthday." I mumble. My girlfriend comes up behind me and puts her head on my shoulder.
"18, wow. A man! Pretty cool. I love you both." She kisses my cheek and picks up her phone.
"What's the dress code for tonight?"
"Um, I don't know. I mean it's not like, a rager. Casual?" I shrug.
"Great." She texts the group.
I open my laptop and hover my mouse over a specific black and white video that I filmed a few days ago on a whim.

"Post it. You're so talented, Annie. I know Caleb would love this." I take a deep breath.
"...Should I though??" Jayden playfully rolls her eyes.
"Yes!"
"Fine." I put my mouse over the "share" button and close my eyes.
"Three...two...one." click.
"You're a star. You won't regret this."
"Okay, well i'm gonna have an anxiety attack if I think about this anymore. Let's just start getting ready." I say.
... I open the front door and see all my best friends waiting. They one by one give me a hug.
"Guys, no sympathy needed. Obviously it fucking sucks that i can't celebrate my brothers 18th birthday with him here, but that's what this day is supposed to be! A celebration! It's a birthday, for God's sake!" I exclaim.
"You're right. You know, I'm so proud of you Annie. We all are. Now let's get cute already!" Lauren chuckles.
We move as one to my bedroom, where we find my sister.
"Hey." I embrace Hayley in a hug. No need to talk about it before the party. Our minds can say it all to each other for now.
We all begin getting ready. Displaying snacks, making snacks, and of course, makeup and clothes and stuff.
