Ryuji watched intently as Akira poured himself a cup of coffee, he analyzed every part of his expression, all the way from his slightly raised brows to his soft grin. He felt a slight rush of emotion overcome him, and he tried to forcefully shake it by looking back down at the manga in his hand.

Akira placed a cup of soda in front of Ryuji, smiling as he watched him read his manga. He wondered what was going through his mind when he read stuff like that, not to mention he sure does get quiet when he reads them. He chuckled slightly, wishing he would focus on his studies the same way.

Ryuji noticed Akira's small laugh, causing him to side-eye him, only to receive a hearty smile from him. Ryuji's eyes widened, then shot back to his manga as he snatched his soda off the table. Akira sat across from him in the booth, sipping his coffee. The cafe was silent, besides the soft pur of Morgana who was asleep on the table they sat at and Ryuji's frustrated flipping through pages.

Suddenly, Ryuji felt extremely pissed about his flustered appearance, slamming his manga closed, making Akira jump slightly. Ryuji tossed his manga at him, Akira dodging it at seemingly the last second. Akira gave Ryuji an expression that was full of emotion, from sad, to confused to even annoyance. "Don't give me that look! You started it!"

The two stared each other down with devilish glares, before Akira rolled his eyes and stood up to grab the manga off the floor, placing it on the counter. He turned to look at Ryuji, who was staring angrily at Morgana. "Don't be childish." Ryuji's eyes widened, turning to look at Akira in shock. What.. Did he just say that?

Akira shook his head, "You need to calm down, drink some soda." Akira walked over to the bathroom, shutting the door loudly behind him. Ryuji gripped his cup harshly, wondering what he was thinking that made him throw that in the first place. He looked at his phone, wondering if his mother had texted him back. She never did, but he's sure she saw it so he's not worrying.

He looked at his bag full of clothes and a spare blanket, wondering why he even agreed to this. He knows how he feels about Akira, why would he sign himself up for this torture, he can barely handle being near him outside.

The bathroom door suddenly opened, Ryuji turning to see Akira grabbing a towel from the kitchen to dry his hands. He stood up, "I think I'm going to sleep early."

Surprised, Akira looked over at his best friend, "Why? I thought we were going to watch a movie, I already rented it."

Ryuji sighed, scratching the back of his head, looking at him, "Fine. Just.. Can I sleep on the couch tonight?"

Akira raised an eyebrow, smirking devilishly, "Did you think we were going to sleep in the same bed?" Both of them looked away, cheeks getting red.

Ryuji gulped, "I mean.. Uh the bed is big enough so it's not weird or nothin.." He grabbed his phone off the table, "B-But I'm just saying I would prefer the couch."

Both boys got quiet, staring at one another from across Leblanc. Ryuji's heart began to speed up, his palms getting sweaty, stomach getting twisted into a billion knots. He was so nervous he thought he was going to vomit, or worse, faint. He broke eye contact, sighing.

"Akira.." He sat back down at the booth, groaning before hitting his head on the table, waking Morgana.

Akira walked over and picked up Morgana, bringing him upstairs to the room before coming back down. Ryuji still had his head on the table, causing Akira to giggle slightly before walking over and placing a hand on his back. He leaned close to his ear, his breath slightly touching Ryuji causes shivers to go up, down, and around his spine, his heart beat increasing.

"You're not very good at hiding your emotions." Ryuji's eyes widened, his face turning immensely red and his fists clenching at his sides. Suddenly, he jumped up and pointed a finger at Akira who stood with a smug look on his face.

Ryuji yelled, "It's all your fault! Y-You're the one who's so effin cute all the time and being all nice and shit! If you didn't want me feeling this way then you shouldn't have done any of the stuff that it is that you do! You can't put any of the blame on me got it! It's all your fault I told you you-"

"Stop yelling." Akira laughed, making Ryuji's scowl relax, feeling confused. Akira grabbed Ryuji's bags, throwing them over his shoulder and walking over to Ryuji. "You overthink a lot, you know. All you had to do was confess." Feeling flustered, the blonde let his head fall, only his eyes looks up. He was startled to see Akira's hand reach over, placing his hand on his chin and lifting it to look at him, "Don't be embarrassed, it's just us in here after all."

Their faces were now a mere inch apart, the blonde feeling like his legs are full of sand now that Akira was so close to him. Akira smirked, "You don't mind, do you?" Ryuji slowly shook his head, Akira smiling before leaning closer to the point that their noses touched. Before he could go for it, Ryuji's emotions went into overdrive, causing his face to go full on crimson red, his hands shooting up and covering his face and taking multiple steps away from Akira. "S-Stop it! You're not f-funny Akira!"

Akira bursts into laughter, walking over to Ryuji and placing a hand on his head, "Come on, shall we watch the movie?" He nods his head in return, Akira moving his hands away from the vulgar boy's face to smile sweetly at him before finally placing a quick kiss on his lips, leaving Ryuji speechless as he began to walk away.

Ryuji stared at the Open/Closed sign, before his whole body finally reacted by dropping him to the floor. Akira whipped around at the sound of Ryuji's unconscious body hitting the floor, dropping his bag on the floor and rushing to pick him up, "Ryuji! I didn't mean to charm you that much!"

I feel more charming after spending the night with Ryuji!
