Akira sat in the crowd, watching as Hifumi played against her opponent with extreme focus. He grinned to himself, watching her speak to herself, imagining the funny things she could be saying. He fixed the roses and chocolates in his lap, anxiously awaiting her victory so he could tell her how amazing she did.
The match continued for about 30 minutes until she finally called checkmate, the room filling with applause as she shook hands with her opponent. Akira rushed out the room to the waiting area, excited to see the smile on her face as she celebrates her victory.
Once she exited the room, Akira perked up and watched her approach him, shaking her head once she saw the roses and sweets, "Again?" She giggled, taking the roses and sweets from his hands, "You really don't have to do this."
"Yes I do, just accept them." He smiled, watching her smell the flowers as she grinned. "You deserve them after that amazing win."
She rolled her eyes playfully, nudging him slightly as the two began their walk to the exit. They were stopped by a news reporter and their camera crew, "Togo-Chan! The world wants to know, are you and this boy right here dating or not? You have yet to confirm-"
"That's none of your concern." Akira budded in, shoving the mic out of Hifumi's face with a scowl, "We're just friends, we keep telling you people the same thing."
"Yes, so please stop it, it's embarrassing." She sighed, grabbing Akira's wrist and pulling him to walk around them.
"But Togo-Chan, he always has flowers for you, you're constantly being spotted out with him-"
"I'm teaching him how to play, he's always around me because he is my friend. And that's all I have to say, now please leave me alone." She huffed as she pulled Akira slightly harder, tripping him in the process.
As they finally escaped the paparazzi, Hifumi sighed as she leaned against the wall and handed him back the flowers and candies, "I can't keep accepting these gifts from you Kurusu, the paparazzi is starting to catch on."
