Daily Question: Are you afraid of doctors or needles?
ENJOY!
"Have a good day now." Takemi smiled at her last patient of the day, sighing loudly as soon as they shut the door behind them. Looking over at the time, she noticed it was just about time for her guinea pig to arrive. She grabbed the test serum, walking around to her desk as she waited for him to arrive.
Once he walked in, she noticed he was beat up. She sighed, slowly standing up, "What have I told you about being reckless when doing Phantom Thieves work?"
He grinned nervously, shoving his hands in his pockets. She shook her head, "Please head to the exam room."
The two walked into the exam room, him sitting on the examination bed and waiting to get patched up. She opened up a bunch of cupboards, grabbing bandages, ointments and bandaids. When she turned around, she finally noticed he had a large gash on his arm, all the stuff she just grabbed falling to the floor as her eyes widened and she gasped. He was dripping blood, whatever cut him went extremely deep. "How did that happen?!" She whipped back around, lunging for her stitches and numbing spray.
He sighed, "Just a small cut, please don't make a big deal-"
"Shut up and hand me your arm." She grabbed his arm, spraying it with her numbing spray. He winced, looking away from her as she set up her needle and began to stitch his gash shut. The two were in total silence as she worked, slowly closing up his arm.
Once she was done, she grabbed her scissors and cut the thread, sighing to herself, then glaring up at him, "You better not have been walking around with that gash for long. You could have gotten a serious infection and gotten extremely sick. Stop worrying me."
He looked over at his arm, running his hand over the stitches as she began to pick up the mess she made when she first spotted his open arm. "It was an accident-"
"All of your cuts and bruises are accidents." Her voice was full of annoyance as she finally gathered everything in a pile in her hands, "I keep telling you to be careful. Clearly your fighting skills are not up to par and you're slacking. If that's the case.."
She placed her stuff on the bed next to him, scowling harshly, "Then stay out of the front lines and don't fight. The last thing I want to hear is that you died while doing Phantom Thieves work."
He frowned at her, "But Takemi.." He shook his head in disapproval, "I can't do that and you know that."
She remained silent as she wrapped up his arm, and an ugly burn on his leg. Sighing to herself, she continued to do small patch work on his many cuts and bruises, glancing up at him, "What do you deal with as a Phantom Thief? It seems like whatever it is is hurting you extremely bad.."
"Just your average bad guy." He chuckled nervously, her eyes squinting up at him in curiosity.
"Hmm.."
The two kept eye contact as she thought about his response, Akira praying that she doesn't ask for details. "If you say so."
He felt his whole body relax as soon as she said that, looking over at his numb arm and poking it, slightly laughing at how it felt. As he kept touching the area around it, she finally finished up her patch work, placing everything back in it's place. She smirked devilishly, looking at him from the corner of her arm, "Keep poking your arm like that and the stitches are going to pop out."
He dropped his hand down to his lap, groaning slightly as she giggled. "Kidding, you can poke all you want, just don't pull them out like an idiot."
She grabbed the serum they were testing out today, smiling as she held it out to him, "Here you go, 'bottoms up', like you said that one time."
He took it from her hands, frowning as he looked down at the green serum before him. He sniffed it, sticking his tongue out in response to the awful scent. Finally, he shook his head, taking it as if it were a shot, shaking his whole body as he felt it go down into his system, and..
Nothing.
He sat patiently, the both of them watching in silence. Finally, he grew a raging headache, then felt his stomach begin to bubble. He felt something begin to come back up, his eyes growing wide as he turned pale, looking up at Takemi in slight fear. She watched in awe, taking mental notes at his body's reaction to the serum.
Finally, Akira let out a loud burp, then laid down on his side and fell asleep in a blink of an eye.
"Interesting.." She began to take notes, smiling at the way he looked as he slept. "How cute.."
She wrote down her notes in silence, then finished up any paperwork she needed to get done as Akira slept for about 4 hours. Once he awoke, she turned around to look at him, "Good evening, sleep well?"
He rubbed his head, feeling his stomach bubble once more. "I don't feel good."
Takemi raised a brow, watching as he rushed for the trash can in the corner of the room and vomiting violently in it, writing that down in her notes as well. "So, the serum didn't digest. I wonder what could have caused that."
Once he was done, he looked confused, looking around the room in disgust, "What the heck man.."
She walked over to him with a tissue in her hand, grabbing his arm and helping him up off the floor, "You can relax now, you did well today."
He grinned at her, the color slowly coming back to his face as he wiped his mouth with the tissue, "Thanks.."
"Alright, I'll see you on Friday, right?" She removed her coat and placed it on the back of her chair, ready to go home and eat dinner.
"Actually.. about that." He smiled at her, "About that date we talked about last week.."
Takemi felt her heart stop, it felt like her whole body just exploded. "No way, not happening." She continue to put everything away and gather her stuff, not wanting to make eye contact whatsoever. He slowly began to walk over to her, his hands in his pocket. "Don't even try to be charming; did you forget that you threw up green about 5 minutes ago."
Chuckling, he grabbed her hand, "Come on, it'll be fun and you know it."
"Sorry," She pulled her hand away, "But I don't do romance. So you can just forget about it."
"Takemi, come on.." He reached for her hand again, but she pulled it away once more, and raised her hand to his face to slap him. A look of shock crossed his face, his cheek red from how hard the impact was from the back of her hand.
She turned her back to him, raising her nose in the air slightly, "I said, I don't do romance, so drop it Kurusu."
He stared at her in surprise, then grabbed his bag off the floor, "Right.." He sighed, walking towards the door and grabbing the knob, looking over at her, "If you ever change your mind.. You know where to find me."
Without a response from her, he walked out in silence and shut the door behind him, looking down at his shoes in shame. Morgana poked his head out of his bag, frowning at him. "Are you alright?"
He smiled sweetly at him, nodding slowly, "Yeah, I'm fine. She'll come around.. Eventually."
