I put my hairbrush back in my bag, and tighten my hairband. The other kids are coming today after school.

I turn on my old I pod and play some music. I cover my bruises and put on a dark green turtle neck with black pants. I put two small golden earrings in my ears and my sneakers.

My eye isn't hurting as bad anymore. My other bruises do hurt though. The makeup makes it look better.

I hurry to the kitchen to get breakfast.

" Hey, Aura. Did you sleep okay? " Steve asks pouring himself a cup of coffee.

I nod and smile. " Yes. Morning Steve. "

" We have to go to some meetings this morning. Are you going to be okay by yourself? "

I always am. Whenever we come here, everyone stays with their friends. I'm always left by myself. " Yes. I'll be fine. " I grab a piece of toast and eat it.

I'm sitting at the entrance of the S.H.I.E.L.D. reading a book. The quiet is disturbed when a bunch of rowdy kids comes in. Mia and her friends are giggling with Becca and Marissa. The boys are playing around with a football, passing it to each other as they walk.

The Avengers come in to greet their kids and Mia's friends.

I stand to the side.

Tommy runs to Steve, and Steve picks him up. He twirls him around, and Tommy giggles.

My dad used to do that. I loved it. He would also pretend I was an airplane, and lift me into the air.

Steve laughs and kisses his giggling son on the head. Tommy hugs him back and gives him a kiss on the cheek.

I have a flashback.

" Daddy! Come play wif me! " I yell holding out a doll.

Dad smiles and picks me up. He lifts me in the air and holds me in an airplane position. I giggle, and he chuckles. I make an airplane sound, and he zooms around my room. He kisses my forehead, and I kiss his cheek.

" Fun! Yay! Again daddy! Again! " I yell. He does it again and then sets me on the ground. I run to the window to grab a different and see Uncle Thor. " Daddy! Uncie Thor's here. " I point to the widow, and Dad smiles.

He's probably just thinking he's here to visit.

" Let's go greet him then. " He picks me up and tickles my tummy. I laugh and hug him.

We walk outside, and Uncle Thor's there. " Brother. How are you? " He asks.

" Good. And you? " Dad asks Setting me down.

I run over to Uncle Thor and hug his legs. " Uncie Thor! " I yell happily.

Uncle Thor smiles down at me. " Brother, can you get me a glass of water? " Uncle Thor asks.

Dad nods and turns around. He hurries inside, and Uncle Thor picks me up. " I miss you Uncie! " I say smiling.

Uncle Thor looks guilty, and he puts on a sad smile. " I did to Aura. "

" Uncie? You sad? " I ask.

" Yeah. " He starts walking away from the castle quickly.

Daddy hurries outside with an angry face. No, it was beyond angry. " Thor! Don't you dare! " He yells, and two guards step in front of him, holding him back. " You can't take her! She's my daughter!!! She's all I have left! Thor!!!!! "

I frown and struggle to get away from my Uncle. " No! Let! Me! DOWN! " I kick him, but his arms hold me tighter. " Daddy! Please don't let him take me! Daddy!  " I reach for my father.

" Thor! No! Aura! " Dad yells fighting against the palace guards. He yells and fights, but the men held him back.

" Daddy! Please! " I sob, and my uncle walks away with a pained expression.

" Aura!!!! " Dad yells one last time before he's shoved into the palace. He struggles, and the door is closed.

I blink and return to reality. I look around the room. Everyone's laughing and smiling, forgetting all about the poor, orphan girl who has no idea what happened to her father.

A tear escapes my eyes. I drop my book and hurry out of the room. I catch Chase's eye, as I leave. I give him a forced smile and wipe my tear away.

He gives me a, ' are you okay? ' look. I nod and hurry to the door. Hopefully, no one else saw me.

No matter how many times I see families together, I always get teary-eyed. I can never stop the tears. They just come out no matter who hard I try.

I run down a long hallway getting weird looks from some people. I turn the corner, and then another. I just need to get out of here.

I have never seen this part of the building. I look around, still crying. Not too hard, but I won't be able to keep it in very long.

I open a door when I hear footsteps, and my name being called. Great, they noticed.

I shut the door quietly, and slid down, with my back touching the door. I cry hard, letting it out. I put my head in between my knees.

" Can you get out. " A rough, mean voice practically commands.

I jump, and lookup. A man with his back to me sits on a chair in what looks like a glass prison.

" Oh, uh, sorry. " I say trying to calm myself down.

I stand up and crack the door open. " You don't think she would be down here, do you Cap? " I hear Bruce's voice ask. " Poor kid. "

I close the door gently. " Um, I'm sorry Mister, but I have to hide in here for a little while. "

The man gives an annoyed groan in response. " Well, then stop crying, and be quiet. " He says very harshly.

I stop sniffling and wipe my tears away. " Sorry. "

" And stop talking. Wait, who are you? " The man turns around.

His dark black hair reaches his shoulders. His emerald green eyes sparkle with hate and anger.

I gasp, and my eyes widen. " D-daddy? "
