" Morning Aura. " Chase says with a smile as he walks into the kitchen. Dad's asleep still which is perfectly normal. He had an eventful day yesterday. My heart pounds at the sight of Chase's perfect perfect smile.
" Um, hi. " I wave awkwardly and he walks over to Clayton.
This boy won't get out of my dumb head. Is it possible to sue someone over them taking up your thoughts? If it is, I'd be sitting in a huge pile of cash right now.
Not that I need it. Tony pays for everything. He's like my unlimited credit card, except, he's sassy. I take a small bite of yogurt and sigh. Why does the world have to be such a confusing place? Why do things have to be hard?
Boys. School. Teachers. Friends. Parents. It's all confusing.
Last night with dad was so much fun. We played games and talked until I had to go to bed. Even though I was supposed to fall asleep at like nine, I fell asleep at around one in the morning. I couldn't stop thinking about Chase.
" Morning kids! " Bruce says happily as he walks into the kitchen. He grabs a cup of coffee and I smile a bit.
" Hey, Bruce. " I run a hand through my messy hair.
" Hey, Aura, Clay and I are about to go play some video games. Wanna join? " Chase asks as he and Clay head in the direction of the room.
" Um, sure. " I put my bowl of yogurt in the sink and quickly follow after the boys. Clay tosses me a remote control and I sit down a bit away from the two.
I get confused halfway into the game and my character dies repeatedly.
" Here. Let me show you. " Chase pauses the game and Clay runs to the kitchen to grab some snacks and drinks. Chase puts his hands over mine and teaches me how to play. " This is the button you press when you want to jump. This one's the run, and this one's to shoot. "
Now I'm still confused. But about a completely different thing.
