After my meeting with Sir Grampy Grumpsalot, my grandfather, and waiting in the waiting area for the Avengers to finish their meeting with the pirate, Nick Fury, I hate going anywhere with any of these guys. All we do is wait or meet someone I really don't care about. I mean, my gramps, hasn't talked to me in over....forever. He rarely talked to me when I was little. I don't have any memories with him that are fun. When grumpy grandpa had a meeting with daddy, he usually brought me along with him. He was really protective of me and didn't really leave me with anyone.
I ignore the knocking on my door and crack the music on my iPod up. I feel the bed dip and I glance at the person. Uncle Thor. He says something, but I can't understand. " What? I can't hear you. " I say pulling out an earbud.
" We are going out. Come on. Get dressed. " He says standing up.
" I don't wanna go out. " I stay in my position.
" I think you're going to want to come to Aura. " Uncle Thor says tiredly. He knows this is going to be a fight. I don't know why, but I get this undying urge to fight with everyone all the time. It's weird.
" I really doubt that. " I say, going to put my headphones on.
" Aura. Let's go. Now. " Uncle Thor says with more force.
" No. I don't want to go Uncle Thor. Please let me stay here while you go talk to the pirate or meet with grandpa. I don't want to have to go talk to them. I already went to that dumb old training this morning. Don't torture me with this. " I say sincerely.
" You do not even know where we are going. And I am not leaving you here alone. Come on. "
" Please? "
" No. "
" Uncle Thor. " I whine.
" Aura! Come on. " Uncle Thor says getting annoyed.
" Ugh! I don't want to come with you to see Fury or, or whoever else you want to talk with! Come on. Just let me stay here! I've got Jarvis. This is the Avengers tower. I really doubt anyone will break in here, or do what-Ahh! " I sigh as Uncle Thor throws me over his shoulder. Curse me for getting dressed this morning. I should've stayed in bed.
I lay on his shoulder limply as he carries me out to the cars. We're the last one outside. I mumble to myself as Uncle Thor dumps me in the backseat of Tony's car, next to Chase and Mia. " Stinking gods. Ugh. I hate your strength. I want to stay home, but no. No! I have to go to some boring meeting, where all I get to do is sit and stare out a dumb old window as you talk to some old guys with eye patches. " I mutter to myself. Chase smirks and shakes his head in amusement. Mia looks at me and rolls her eyes. " And I have to be stuck with...people. Ugh. I hate people. Man, when I get older, I'm gonna become a hermit. "
" Stop pouting Aura. " Tony says looking back at me from the rearview mirror. " You're gonna love this. " Tony smiles softly. " It's gonna be worth coming out here with us.
I scoff and fold my arms. " I didn't volunteer to come out here. Uncle Thor kidnapped me, slung me over his shoulder, and tossed me back here. Like a sack of potatoes. " I say rolling my eyes.
Tony ignores me. " You'll love us all after-"
" Sure. Just like I loved waiting for you to talk with pirate and meeting grumpy gramps. " I nod. " I'll really be enjoying this. "
" Aura. " Tony shakes his head.
" What? " I ask. " I'm just being my usual happy, lovely, friendly, positive me! " I say in a fake cheerful voice.
Chase smirks at me and looks at his dad, obviously amused by this conversation. " A-" Tony begins but I cut him off.
" I know. I know. " I give an overdramatic sigh. " Aura. " I mock his voice.
