I tug at the bottom of my sleeves nervously. Uncle Thor and the other Avengers are in Fury's office talking to him. I hope they convince him to let me see my dad.
I glance at the other side of the room. The other kids are playing and talking. Mia, of course, is complaining about how unfair her father is for taking away her phone. Marissa and Tommy are playing with their toys in the corner of the room. Clayton, Rebecca, and Ryan are playing some board games. Ryan gets a little red with anger as he loses the game to the Barton siblings.
Chase looks up from his phone and smiles at me. I nod at him and give him another small smile in return. He looks around at the other kids before getting up. He walks over to me and sits on the chair next to me. " Hey, Aura. You looked lonely over here so I thought I'd join you. " He smiles.
" Thanks. " I say softly leaning against the back of my chair. I tap my foot on the floor as Tommy and Marissa start chasing each other.
" You guys are going to get hurt. " Mia warns, having nothing better to do than watch the two kids. She was so sure of herself earlier, telling us all that she was going to sweet-talk her dad into giving her phone, she didn't bring anything else to do. Her dad told her no to the phone about fifty times.
The door opens from next to me. My Uncle comes out smiling. " Let's go Aura. "
" Where are we going? " I ask getting up.
" To see your dad. "
