" When are we going to tell them? " Clint asks glancing at my niece and brother.
" I say we do it now. So it's not a big bombshell we just dropped on them. " Tony shrugs. " He has to go back by three in the morning. They'll be waiting for him. "
" But look how happy they are. " Bruce says gesturing to Aura and Loki. They were just joking around a minute ago. Now they are talking about what they have missed in each other's lives.
I wish I could save this moment for them. I wish I could just let them be. But, we have ordered. Orders we are told to follow. It is not like I like taking them away from each other, but I must. I have to. Aura is probably going to hate me again. Maybe I can set up another time when they can meet?
No. Fury says it is very unlikely the two shall ever meet again. They will never see each other.
And this breaks my heart. She will hate Fury and everyone even more. She will hate us all. I wish I could change things so they could be together, but it is impossible.
" Do not tell them now. " I say breaking the conversation going on between the other Avengers.
" Why not? " Natasha asks sadly.
" Why not? Look at them. They are happy. This is the first time I have seen both my niece and brother smile in years. I do not want to take this away from them. Give them a little while. Then we tell them. I want them to be able to spend any time they can together. "
" But it will only make it harder. " Natasha says softly.
" If you tell them now, they will get all sad and they will not be able to spend a good time together. Look at them. They are happy. Leave them be. You and I both know this is the last time Aura and Loki will ever see each other. She needs to have time with her father. Not worrying about the time running out. "
" I feel terrible. We're going to break her heart again. " Steve says sighing.
" It's not like we want to do this. " Tony grumbles with his arms folded. " We have a job to do. And we are going to do it. "
Even if it breaks Aura's heart.
