Lately a question has been on your mind.
The look in your eyes. They are quizzical.
"Am I enough for you?" They ask.
You've found your way to the room that My Foundation and I share.
"All this history." Your hands seem to gesture.
My lips twitch into a half smile.
I inhale, then exhale, and approach you.
Those luminous green eyes meet mine.
Around your neck, my arms rest and your finger fumbles with my belt loops.
No words come to my lips.
Instead, I press my lips against yours.
Our eyes steadily gaze into each other's, then we close them without thought.
We let go of the kiss and nuzzle each other.
"Let's go back to our home?" I ask softly and you nod.
As I lead you out the door, I turn to close it.
"This is my past," I say as we walk down the corridor.
"You are my present and my future." I say and you can't help but smile.
"I know," You say as we approach our home.
"But sometimes you go there so much, I started to wonder."
The knob to our home turns, and I take a step inside.
You follow and I turn to wrap my arms around your waist.
A meeting of our eyes recites.
"It is a place I tend to wander to." I say.
"Something is there that I'm looking for." I shrug.
"That doesn't mean that this isn't where I belong." I say then kiss your nose.
"We are." I say as our foreheads touch.
"Her and I were." I say and smile and push the door closed.
