STORY:
We Are All Motivated - Either Positively Or Negatively.
This is a story of two brothers. One was a drug addict & a drunkard who frequently beat up his family. The other one was a very honest, successful businessman who was respected in society & had a wonderful family.
Some people wanted to find out why two brothers from the same parents, brought up in the same environment, could be so different.
The first one was asked,
“How come you do what you do? You are a drug addict, a drunk, & you abuse your family. What motivates you to be like this?”
He said, “My father.”
They asked, “What about your father?”
The reply was, “My father was a drug addict, a drunk & he beat his family. What do you expect me to be? That is what I am.”
They went to the brother who was doing everything right & asked him the same question.
“How come you are doing everything right? What is your source of motivation?”
Aиϑ guess what he said?
“My father. When I was a little boy, I used to see my dad drunk &
doing all the wrong things. I made up my mind that this is not what I want to be.”
Both were deriving their strength & motivation from the same source, but one was using it positively & the other negatively.
There are so many ways to blame others when things don't go well for us. But the truth is that ur life & my life is only about the choices that u & me make daily. Complaining & playing the victim role doesn’t make anything better. It hurts u the most as well as possibly hurting other people & spreading bad feelings around.
Always remember that ur past is a place of reference & not a residence where u meant to stay forever. Whatever it may be.. a difficult childhood...a bad marriage that ended in divorce...a personal or business relationship gone sour..or even a bad day.Don't fall into the victim role & let these events define the person u become. Take the lesson,move on & choose to always become better & never bitter.

Verily, ALLAH does not change the condition of people until they change what is within themselves. [Sura ar-Ra'd 13:11]
