Kira's POV:
"Caleb? Sweetheart, Mommy really needs to go so could you pretty please come and get your shoes?" He looked at me, pouted and shook his head. "What about if I promise you that I might get you a little ice cream on the way home?" His eyes lit up and he ran over to me, picking up his trainers as he ran. "Let's go, mommy."

"How many times are you going to bribe him with ice cream?" Dele laughed as he sat on the sofa watching us. "Well, I really need to go to this meeting and you have training in like, 20 minutes so I need to get Caleb to Mum."
"Calm down, Kiki." Dele whispered as he stood up and kissed me on the forehead. "They'll want you to do another tour, they'd be stupid not to."

In the three years since having Caleb, I hadn't done much music apart from releasing a couple of songs. My record label were bugging me for new songs but I've been so busy with Caleb that I haven't had the chance to focus on anything else. Jordan had spoken to me about doing another tour but I wasn't sure if the label would want me to do another one, just because of how long I'd been off and after everything that happened with Liam, loads of our fans complained about the tour and I don't think it could have possibly gone any worse. Dele was really supportive but it broke me to know that I hadn't been able to give back to the people who had supported me. When they called me to tell me they needed me in for an emergency meeting, I couldn't help but feel they were telling me that my contract was done and they didn't want me anymore. "I was thinking... can we go on a date tonight? Like a proper date, not just our usual watch Netflix after Caleb has gone to bed. Not saying I don't love that but..."

"I'd love to, Del. Anyway, come on baba. We've got to go and see Nanny!" I exclaimed, picking Caleb up and swinging him round. He giggled as he flew around and I saw Dele smiling at me as I was leaving. "I'll see you later." He whispered as he kissed my cheek.

After I dropped Caleb off at my Mom's, I made my way to the studios. I couldn't help but feel like taking these past few years off was the end of my career. When I pulled up, I saw a car parked just outside the door, and it looked oddly familiar. 'Focus on the important things, Kira.' I thought as I picked up my bag, locked the car and walked into the building. "Hello Miss Matthews!" The receptionist smiled as I walked through the doors. "Hello Cathy. It's been so long, hasn't it?"

"It really has Miss Matthews. I see you're a mother now, how exciting! I always saw you as the Mother type, caring and very loving."

"Thank you so much! It really is the best role I could have ever asked for. Caleb is the perfect little boy and it's so much easier to be a Mother when your child has the most amazing Father."

"Oh, yes. You and that footballer, I see. Such a cute couple, Miss Matthews. I am so, very happy for the two of you. Hopefully, I will be seeing more of you around."

"I hope so too, Cathy." I smiled as I walked through to the waiting room. "No, Susan. I was seriously expecting less of a warm welcome, to be honest." That voice, why was that voice so familiar? I looked around the corner and was faced with a face I thought I was never going to see again.
