I sat on my bed tears freely falling out of my eyelids. Not because Luke was harsh but because he stole MY BIBLE. I don't know why I judged him to be a rogue, but one thing was for sure that this hatred was not NEW.

A FEW YEARS BACK...........

Hannah and I decided to go grocery shopping, a long list crushed between our clenched palms. After shopping, our bags were awfully heavy, had stripped our palm red. We stopped and stopped and walked resting our stretched arms from this burden. Suddenly we hear a painful cry, we peeped through the cold brick walls to find a group of bullies encircling a timid boy. He fearfully frets at the gang of ill-mannered kids.

"Give me a week......I will return...."He begs, sobs hiccuping his tear-stricken face. He scrapes to the ground backward as he continues, "Please........Pl....."He was interrupted by a hard blow given by a guy, I believed he was the leader. The rest of his mates imitated his act like sheep. But what's surprising is that the leader was no other than Luke(which I never realized still now). Every blow the boy received I flinched, my body shivers with fear. Hannah releases me from this arrested state and heats my frozen body by running.

I retrieved this incident in a flash, a clear memory of the past focused on my present. The fear of Luke increased greatly, awakening my hairline through my body.

"Fear not, for I am with you till the end of ages." I constantly chant my favorite verse as my system comes to normal.

LUKE POV:

Judith is really testing my patience. Just because she is Hannah's friend I can't afford to hurt her. I'm trying my best to be amiable and polite so that she could understand I'm worthy of her but she judges me to be having multiple girlfriends and change each one every week? How could she? I wanted to squeeze that blood out of her arm but I just couldn't see those useless tears in her eyes.

I quickly change into my shorts but my eyes reluctantly fall on that ancient text resting on the corner of my table. A simple brown cover emphasizing my eyes. Before I could even realize I'm flipping through the delicate pages, a few highlighted lines illuminating the dull book. This book strangely attracts me, the words so intelligently printed. Each chapter is written in its own style praising GOD, which I thought never existed. But this BIBLE drawing me to the convincing belief that I hate to admit.

A million questions arise in my mind, growing as I dive in depth through this Holy Book. The thirst for more was blooming but it needed more roots, more branches and that would not happen with just me. And that's when I decided I will reside on to this spirituality proving everything this BIBLE contains is wrong.  I don't know for how long I sat there reading but long enough to realize my neck hurts.
