JUDITH's POV;

Hannah planned to take me to a new donut shop opened just around the corner of the school. It had a beautiful wallpaper in a fancy retro look, people with funky hairstyles, cool clothes, vintage motorbikes, and cars passing by the same shop. It basically showcased that the shop was famous from the very '90s but in reality, it just arrived now. The place is illuminated by ball-shaped glass protecting a delicate white bulb. The floor is polished with cliche' brown timber and it carried orange metal chairs. The best thing about this place was it smells chocolate.

We ordered our desired flavored donuts and occupy ourselves with the orange metal. The metal absorbs the heat from my body like a sucker. Towards my right is a large glass wall revealing the busy road outside. As we wait for our orders impatiently, my eyes drift towards the time-sensitive people on the road. The passers-by, motorbikes, cars, buses are all too busy to pause. After my formal education, I too would value time more than GOD. I shouldn't follow the world I should follow JESUS! He is more important than 'time'.If I give him all the time he would give me all I need. He is an Awesome GOD! Who has provided us everything more than what our hearts desire?

"Hey! It's Luke!." Hannah perked, I jump at the sudden excitement. He is walking along the road kicking a stone as he grazed along the pavement. He turns to our side as if he heard Hannah's voice, then gets back to kicking. Then he realizes something and turns back to us. Hannah waves at him grabbing his complete attention making him approach the glass.

"Can I join?" He mouths, Hannah nods excitedly.

He does not even glance to my side, I'm sure he is still angry.

"Hello, Luke! How is your practice going?" She chirps, once he pulled a chair between us.

"It's fun but rather tiring though." He admits.

Before she could answer the donut-makers yells our orders. Hannah excuses herself and leaves the table, Luke trails behind her. He doesn't even want to sit beside. LORD forgive me!! Hannah places our donuts on the table and she begins swallowing her creamy donut. Luke joins us later, all fresh and clean, he bought a burger and an overloaded chocolate donut for himself. I munch slowly making a memory of the double chocolate donut which deliciously melts in my mouth. When I open my eyes I find a pair of green and blue eyes staring back at me. They both exchange looks and burst out laughing. Why do people laugh while I'm eating?

"What's so funny?" I ask blankly.

"You hummed.....innocently...like a baby." Hannah manages to say between the laugh.

"That's not funny."

This didn't stop them from laughing. Luke mocked my actions making Hannah laugh even more. He picks up the sauce and shakes it not realizing it's open and it splashes on Hannah's pale green top staining it red. It's my turn to laugh now. She picks up the tissue and wipes it making it worse as it spread through the fabric deeper. Luke whispers a million apologies as he passes tissues to her. Hannah leaves the table with a bunch of tissues to the washroom. Luke's side glares at me and joins me laughing.

After a while when the humor evaporates in thin air, my lungs heave for air. I glance at Luke who is sharing the same action.

"I'm sorry." He whispers out of the blue making me pull my eyebrows together.

"For what I said...... I know you don't deserve it, you bandaged me, cared for me, shared your dinner, knowledge, and faith with me......but all I gave you were painful words."

I looked away hiding those tears forming in my eyes, my ears not believing what it just caught. Thank you, LORD!

"I forgive you, Luke." I answer genuinely a weak smile curves my lips."Sometimes we lose control of ourselves becoming slaves to our own emotions. The strongest person is not the one who carries the heaviest weight but the one who controls his emotions and expresses them in the right way." Wait, did I just quote.

"Wow, Judi! That was an awesome speech." He marveled.

"Thanks." I could feel my cheeks heat up.

Hannah comes after a good fifteen minutes. She offers an embarrassed smile as she sits down.

"Would you come to the match?" He asks us both.

Hannah looks at me as if asking my opinion. I pursed my lips slowly nodding.

"Yeah sure."Hannah sounded excited.

His eyes landed on me, "I won't miss it for the world." Taking back the words I said to her.

His eyes shined with excitement as he shoved his cold burger into his mouth.
