JUDITH's POV;

"Don't you want to know why I wanted to slap you?" I asked, ignoring the drama.

He nodded towering at me, my neck hurts to match his eye level so I stretched my left arm which he gladly accepted and I pulled him to the floor making him sit beside me. I waited till he was comfortable which gave me time to gather the courage to look into his sapphire-colored- eyes.

"Between Hannah and you things did not work out well; fine. Your parents hurt you; okay. But what did I do?" His eyes slipped away immediately as I completed the sentence.

"What did I do that you didn't talk to me for seven years! Was it 'so' difficult to call? To inform me that you were alright? safe? What made you so mad at me?"

"You know, after two years, after two long years, I found out about you. I cried, blame myself that I let you go all by yourself when I should have been standing by you sharing that pain. I had been so selfish!"

"Are you insane! It's my fault, I choose to run from my past; dumping all the pain in the back of my heart." I shook from the sudden rise of his tone.

"I had so many plans, Luke, I thought we will go to college together, I thought......"

I was choked by my own words. I swallowed hard but it never died down. I thought I overcame this but I never knew it was still in me.

"I thought we five would be the best gang growing in faith...."

"Five?" He interrupted.

"Hmm, Zebulun."

"Who?"

Why is the interrupting so much? I'm trying to explain something here? Then something clicks in me.

"Zebulun.....aah...What was his name?..... Something in 'Z'...Yeah, Zedd."

"Zedd? Which Zedd?" He knit his eyebrows together.

"Huh? Your best friend in boarding school that football guy?"

"Oh! Zedd! He was friends with you'll?"He asked raising his eyebrows.

"Why couldn't he?"

"Okay, Why did he have to change his name?"

"That's gonna shock you!" I shrugged.

He rolled his eyes.

"Zedd changed his name to Zebulun after his baptism."

"What!" His jaws hung loose, making me giggle.

"And there's more, He is the head pastor of our church now." I automatically showed my best smile.

He blinked slowly making me laugh more.

"He dropped college the second year and joined a BIBLE college that's how he is evangelizing people with his testimony. He is busy on tours right now."

"Wow!" Luke blurted.

"If you were with us, you too would have joined him." I rest my head on his shoulders.

"I'm sorry Judi! I made you worry. I don't even deserve to be forgiven."His tone is broken.

"If the LORD can forgive you, I'm nothing." I press my hand gently, assuring him.

"Thanks, Judi." He breaths.

"My pleasure."

The sunsets on the horizon, darkness evading the blue skies. The birds depart to its shelter and so does Luke. He stands on his feet and me following suit.

We hug warmly as he whispers into my ears," Are you hungry?"

My stomach grumbles answering him. He tittered as we release from the embrace.

"Come on I'll treat you." He offers.

"This is a wrong time for celebration."

"Dinner?"

"I don't think I can slip out so easily."

"There is a way.......through the window."He wriggles his eyebrows.

"No, I'm scared of heights."

"I will be there for you." He rests his hand on my face, his thumb tracing circles on my cheek.

"...........and most-importantly GOD is there by your side always." He adds, blue eyes digging into mine.

"I'm sure you're mentioning GOD's name after a very long time," I say smirking.

"Your right, I blamed him for everything." He looks away.

"Don't worry, I will catch you." He hisses from the ground.

The moonlight- the only source of illumination providing my night vision. I'm sure I look like a large snail crawling down. After a few minutes, I'm already down beside him. I let out a course breath I had been holding.

I just hope my parents don't find me missing.

I hop into an unfamiliar car, a sweet smell of lime fills my nostrils. We drive quietly to a restaurant. It's just some random dining, we occupy a two-seat-er, a young woman picks up our orders, Luke ordered a creamy garlic chicken penne pasta; whereas I ordered a creamy spaghetti.

He stabs his pasta with a fork and I stop him," Have you forgotten your table manners?"

"Huh... What?"

"To say grace?"

He huffed.

We hold each other's hands and I began Thanking GOD, I could feel Luke shifting his self uncomfortably.

I shovel the food in my mouth relishing every bite, making a new memory.

Sooner or later we are back in the car on our way back home. He parks his car on the sidewalk of my house, hopping out of the driver's seat and rushing to my side. He opens the door lending his arm for me.

He is acting so weird.

I stand on my feet, watching his face on the lighted street lamp, a glance at my house reveals my parents are in the lounge. I tilt my head back towards Luke finding him glaring at me differently. I gather his hands into mine as words flow out from my heart, "Thank you so much, Luke! This evening turned out to be so much fun only because of you. You have always been so special to me."

We embrace each other warmly but this time more passionately under each other's loving arms. We pull apart a minute later, my fingers interlocked with him. He inches closer towards me, his eyes flickering between my eyes and lips, this moment was taking place so slowly that every minute was like hours and every second like minutes. He was so close to me that his breath was fanning my face, minty and fresh.

"Judi!" I hear a very familiar male voice, repelling us. I turn in the direction of the voice, my face grew awfully heavy. With quick steps, I jog inside; avoiding my Dad guarding the outside door.

I lock myself in my room, leaning across the wooden door gasping. My heartbeat is the only audible source of rhythm-ing in my small room.
