JUDITH's POV;
Blessed be the name of the LORD
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name........
I hummed mixing my chocolate batter. Every Sunday evening I spend the hour in the kitchen preparing something for my parents. I poured my final ingredient into the batter and give it an ultimate mix.
"Hmm, I love this smell." I gasp at an alien voice. I spin around to find blue eyes and a gamine smile. I go eye wide and stride towards him pulling him off the kitchen door and close it.
"Are you crazy! My parents are just around the corner." I hiss
"Okay, mom!" Luke whispers back his hands up in the air.
"How did you know I'm here?" I begin the whispering conversation.
"Can you stop whispering, your parents are pretty much in the veranda sipping tea."
I nod remembering that is my parent's usual Sunday spot.
He walks over to the kitchen counter and dips his finger into the melted chocolate scooping it into his mouth.
"Stop that! you're polluting it." I protest hitting his arms.
"Guess what? Friday night Hannah......."
"Hannah informed me everything yesterday..... And this happened Friday evening and if you were so eager to tell me why didn't you tell me yesterday?"
"I was....you know....I..." He suddenly acted so weirdly I just couldn't tell what.
"Just tell me what did she tell you?" He asked.
I told him everything that was informed to me by Hannah. But this didn't seem to satisfy him, in the first place why was he even asking me. I thought Hannah informed him of everything.
"She didn't explain what happened in the car, right?"Luke's blue eyes darkened in the inquiry.
"What happened?" Fear overcoming me.
"She told me that she's happy I'm working as a Christian and she knows it's tough to choose you'll out of all the fans I have in school. And.." He informs recalling her words.
"Okay."I drag.
"After that...." He exhales his eyes softened as his gaze sharpened on me.
" She stared into my eyes, like we were connecting, the blue to the green. I don't know for how long but long enough." His eyes glistened like he found some greatest evidence.
"No, she might me be thinking about something or she might be so exhausted that she couldn't speak."
"No Judi!.... I think...." He scratches his neck nervously.
"You can't understand what that means?" He asks rudely.
"No." I shrug.
He inhales deeply and faces me his hands grasp my arms as his eyes search mine," She told me she likes me and that gesture proves that too. "
I gape as my brain process what it just heard," Are you sure?"
" I spent a whole day thinking about the very same thing."He admits.
How can she like Luke? She was there right beside me watching how abusive Luke had been with that kid. Has she forgotten? No, she would have forgiven him given him another chance. Why am I concerned about Hannah's life? she has all the rights to choose the man of her life. I should be happy for her, she deserves the best. A handsome guy like Luke and an angel-like Hannah will be the best couple ever. I just hope Luke does not break her heart. I must never let that happen.
He lets go of my arm, walks nervously across the kitchen, and after a few minutes looks at me, his face unreadable," I'll be back." He says disappearing behind the kitchen door.
