I step out of the elevator. Where the heck am I? One needs a map in this hospital to guide yourself to your desired location.
I look around "Hey! Lost?" A voice surprises me and I yelp with the sudden and unexpected disturbance.
It is a young man on a wheelchair. His badge says the name 'Elijah Green'. "So, lost are you?" He asks with a kind expression.
I nod and he smiles "Me too" I can see him blushing slightly.
"It is a huge hospital. I think I did see you this morning" yeah probably. Of course my memories of the day before my meeting with Sienna are kind of hazy right now.
He chuckles "Yeah, this baby is kinda hard to ignore. Dr.Elijah Green by the way" he taps his wheelchair's arm rest and then brings forth his hand.
Ah oh! Did I offend him? I hope not "Sorry... ah I'm Dr.Felix Alexander. Pleasure meering you Elijah" we shake hands and exchange smiles.
"Oh how lovely. Such young and handsome doctors are around here this year" an old lady is watching us intently.
"Ma'am are you lost too? Let us help you get back to your ward" I offer to escort her but she begins to laugh very loudly. I feel my cheeks burning hot. Did I say something funny without my knowledge?
"Boy I've been here since the last ten years. The last thing I need is a kid like you to show me around the hospital. It's like giving the owner a tour of his own shop!" And her laughter continues.
Elijah and I share a bewildered look "I'm messing with ya kid! I'm Teresa Martinez and now tell me where you want to go?"
I still want to help the lady before taking her help but somehow I do get the vibe that she does not needs our aid at all.
"Ward 2-E, that's where I want to go" I say
"Go straight from here and take left. Keep going straight and turn left again. Voila! Your ward will be right there and you sonny?" She is now referring to my companion
"Ward 5-J" he replies.
"Keep going straight, turn left then keep going straight and turn right then straight and turn right"
"So I'll reach my ward, thanks!" He sounds delighted
"No, no. You'll be back right in front of the elevators. Which means right here. You're on a completely wrong floor altogether 5-J is second floor. Go there. Keep going straight turn right and you'll see it" then she coolly turns around and I see a sight that I'm not supposed to see.
The back of her gown is unbuttoned and her... well. "Uh... Mrs.Martinez?" But I'm unable to say anything after that.
My feet ache when I pull out my clothes from my locker in the locker room. A groan escapes my mouth
"Tired already?" I can recognise her voice for life now. It's Sienna! I want to squeal in excitement now but all that I'm able to produce is a dropped jaw. Classic Felix!
"It was a tough day" I try to give a reason for my groan that she one hundred percent heard. She begins giggling and opens her locker.
"Bryce you were totally hitting on your senior resident. She could kick you where you won't want her to, you know that right?" Jackie says irritably but Bryce confidently moves a hand through his shiny hair and smirks "But she didn't do it. Did she? She was blushing when I was flirting. I know the importance of consent and I totally had hers"
"Today was amazing. I saw Dr.Ramsey you know and he noticed me... kind of" Landry also enters the room after them. He looks dreamy
"Get married to Ramsey already" says Jackie but he doesn't seems to notice.
