The Crash

Felix Alexander's POV

Dr. Matias is finally putting on a milder bandage on my nose after 10 days of keeping that intense and stiff bandage on! I wink at Sienna, who is leaning against the doorframe. She shyly smiles and looks down at the floor.

"A straight face, please" Dr. Matias murmurs while concentrating hard on his job of fixing me.

"How long till this one's gone too?" I ask impatiently.

"One step at a time, Felix" he answers monotonously. He keeps his tools down and pulls off the disposable gloves.

"You're done" he doesn't have to say anything more. I bow my head in thanks and leave alongside Sienna.

"You irritate him" Sienna says in a muffled giggle.

"I know... and I love it" and she punches me playfully on the arm.

"Would you believe it?!" Jackie comes running towards me as I exit the ward.

"Believe what?" I calmly ask but rather than giving me a straight answer, she takes me by the hand and drags me behind her.

"Oh, so that is why Landry is sulking in that corner" Landry is actually and quite literally standing in a corner, his cheeks puffed and his feet, rhythmically tapping against the floor, he has his arms crossed across his chest and his expression is of someone who is absolutely doomed.

"Felix!" Sienna is rushing towards me while placing her stethoscope around her neck, a bright smile gracing her face. She runs into my arms and tightens her grip around my torso.

"I knew you'd do it!" she squeals with delight.

"Hey, I did too" Aurora walks over, she looks anything but sad or mad. She even smiles at me.

"He finally beat you. Sure, you okay?" Jackie teasingly raises an eyebrow at her. Aurora merely smiles and as Sienna lets me go, she shakes my hand.

"There's still a few weeks left, let's see how you guard the throne" she confidently tells me, I nod with a grateful smile.

"Oh, Felix is going to stay the number 1 intern now. I am so proud of you" Sienna embraces me once more. She is being her sweetest self today and I am enjoying it so damn much.

"You know what Aurora? I can detect the burn from the distance. How about I drowse it in some Beer after the shift?" Her tone is still the same old mocking one but... is it her way of asking Aurora out? She has a high nose, no denying so is she shooting the gun by placing it on my shoulder? Maybe. Although, this is the first time I don't mind being used for something.

Aurora's mouth forms a smile "If you're buying then how can I say no. It is not everyday that a miser like you offers anyone anything". Jackie rolls her eyes upon hearing this but I guess that it is their kind of romance. I won't understand.

"Gotta give us some grub and drinks tonight, fancy Doctor" Bryce wraps his strong arm around my neck, giving me a fist bump along with it.

"Y-Yeah, if you don't crush my neck right now" I reply, people laugh and then we spot Landry blasting out of the Hospital's entrance.

"Post traumatic effect going on there" Bryce murmurs.

"I swear, Sir. I have no idea why my pager did not alert me!" I heave a breath while reaching the bed of my patient. The poor old lady seems unconscious. Dr. Ramsey glares at me "She could've died, Dr. Alexander. You should be glad that I was nearby and so was the nurse".
