Sienna wraps her arms around my torso. I've thought about taking her out on my bike more times than I care to admit. I cannot believe my luck these days! Things are just aligning in my favour. Somehow.

"Just let me know if you feel like slowing down or anything else!" I let her know.

"Alright!" she replies much louder than necessary. I chuckle. I can hear her very well.

Once we come on the open and traffic free road, I hit the gas. The bike speeds up and soon, it feels as if though we are riding on the wind.

"It feels so great!" I hear her cheer and her grip tightens around me, making my heart pound faster and I feel my ears grow hot.

"See, isn't it better than your car?" I laugh.

She laughs in return "Maybe..." she teases me.

I increase the speed a little and she gives me a cry of approval. Sadly, our high speed run comes to a halt when we meet the traffic again.

"You holdin good back there" I ask, tilting my head a little so that I can see her from the corner of my eye. Her cheeks are flushed due to the wind but she is smiling the brightest that I have seen in days.

"I'm holding great" she replies excitedly. "Do you always ride in such high speed?"

"Not always, I'd get a speeding ticket won't I?" and I laugh "But yes... most of my late night rides consist of lonely roads and high speed bike rides". She shyly smiles and glances away at my answer.

The signal turns green and I give my full attention to the road again.

"Is this really your first time ridin a bike?" I ask, intrigued.

"Yeah, no lies. I have never been on a motorcycle before"

"Weird. Didn't you ever go for a cool leather jacket, bike riding guy with a couple of tattoos back in college?" I joke.

"Leather jacket, bike riding, bad boys aren't exactly my type" she replies.

I wear leather jackets... a whole lot of them. I ride a bike... almost all the time. I am not a bad boy though...
Is she telling me that I am not her type or that I am her type?
Or NONE!
And I am just overthinking.

The last one, perhaps.

"May I ask. How did Wayne even impress you?" and I quickly add "I don't honestly expect an answer if you don't feel like it".

She is silent for a moment and just when I have lost all hope for a reply, she answers "He was my senior at Princeton. We met through mutual friends during an outing at a coffee shop..." and she says something after this but I don't quite catch it because I have increased the speed of the bike and the wind combined with the other surrounding noise make it hard to hear her.

"I'm sorry, didn't quite catch the end of it, after the coffee shop!" I inform her.

She'll probably not be able to talk louder. It is not her thing. I should just ask her to complete the story later.

But...

She rests her chin on my shoulder, closing any gap that was between our bodies before.

"Can you hear me now?" she whispers in the sexiest way ever in my ear.

She is not being sexy! You are God damn finding her sexy.

I gulp and am only able to nod in reply.

"So..." she continues near my ear, it sends a shiver down my spine and for a second I cannot focus on the road ahead of me.

"He was very uninterested in the conversation that everyone was having and I found this mysterious behaviour of his very attractive. Thus, I offered to bail him out of the outing. He gladly agreed. He took me to the library where he studied books while I just gazed at his handsome face for two hours" she finishes with a dreamy sigh.
