All hell broke loose when my roommates and friends got to know what Landry did. Jackie almost grabbed him by the collar. She was so mad that it felt like she would have murdered the man. Landry did the smart thing by packing a few things in his backpack and left the apartment.
"He better fuckin stay away!" cursed an angry Jackie.
"It's alright, calm down" Sienna handed her a glass of water and comfortingly patted her back.
"He's the entire reason Felix got stuck in all this mess!" she yells.
"It's okay. I will be alright" I also comfortingly smile at her.

Suspension is the strangest thing in the world. I feel like I have all the time in the world but I just don't feel like doing anything. I go through some adventure pack offers that a website is offering.
Kayaking.
Sky diving.
Base jumping.
Camping.
I always wanted to do all these things but never found time. Now I have two entirely idle days until the disciplinary hearing but I just don't feel like going and doing any of these things.
I was never the 'have tension on the top of your head' kind of guy, but this time it is not an exam or project that I have due in a few days but my entire future.
I close all my browser's tabs and see the recommended articles on my screen. Almost all are medicine related. In a few days time, all I may have of medicine are these articles. I may never get to wear a Resident's white coat. I may never get to have an intern of my own. After an entire year at Edenbrook I might just have to leave and never get to work in a Hospital again.
It is so God damn painful!
All of my friends are completing their shifts. Jackie and Elijah will also be starting their 1 week of night shifts from tomorrow while I will be laying here, absolutely useless.

With Jackie and Elijah asleep back at the apartment since they have a night shift from today onwards and Sienna gone to the hospital and God knows where Landry is staying... I descend down from our floor and encounter Ethan Ramsey in the parking lot, standing beside his car.
"Hello, Sir" I greet him rather solemnly.
"Rookie" he answers. To my surprise, he outstretches his hand. I hesitantly shake hands with him.
"I really thought that a well-rested man gives a frim and strong handshake. Don't disappoint me, Rookie" the hint of a smile plays around the edges of his mouth.
I smile back and give him an enthusiastic handshake.
"That's what I like" he mutters gladly.
"I am surprised that you even agreed to see me and help me in my mad science experiment" I feel ashamed.
"You shouldn't be, Rookie. What you did was against the rules but you did it with the consent of the patient. She lived her last days very happily and that's what matters" Dr. Ramsey being emotional with me was the last thing I expected. However, I really praise his effort at making me feel better about the future. Whatever happens, I do have people who care about me.
