The Secret Unveiled

Felix Alexander's POV

I slowly blow some air over my cup of cappuccino and wait for the conversation to start but everyone is only sipping their coffee and somewhat passing time. What is going on?

I exchange a nervous smile with Marcela, who sits in the most poise posture, leaning slightly into the shoulder of her beloved husband.

"Sienna, we thought that you and Wayne had parted ways" she says.

"Well, we have not actually" I see her stealing a glance in my direction from the corner of her eye.

"Ah, I see..." Marcela nods and another round of silence falls over the room.

"Marcela and I... I believe we both agree that there is something we might wanna share with you" an uncertain Bryan says to which Sienna sits a bit straighter.

"Whatever it is... I think it'd be better if I was aware" she says, resolute.

Marcela and Bryan share a last confirming look with one another. What are they so hesitant about?

"Perhaps it'd be better if you were prepared and comfortable" and Marcela gives me a look. Oh! I get it now!

"I'd give you some privacy" and I shuffle out of the seat.

"No, you can stay..." Sienna pleadingly looks in my way.

"I think it'd be better if I left, unless..." unless you don't trust these two.

"Your call, Sienna" Bryan offers.

"Alright" Sienna nods at me.

"Perfect. I'd see you back home" I give her a reassuring smile .

"Let me walk you to the door" Bryan rises to escort me. As we walk towards the main door, he expresses "I hope that we can have that coffee some other day, I feel like we'd get along great!"

Upon reaching the exit, I smile at him and bring forward my hand. Bryan shakes it and then pulls me in for a hug, patting me on the back.

"I'm actually glad she has someone like you looking out for her and someone like her looking out for you... don't worry, you can trust her with us" Bryan whispers in my ear. I pull back and nod ever so subtly to let him know that I respect his words. Then, the door closes and Sienna is lost from my view.

Sienna Trinh's POV

Felix gives me one last longing look before being walked out the main door by Bryan. I have known Marcela and Bryan from a long time but seeing Felix leave right now somehow makes me feel unsafe. Perhaps, 'unsafe' is not at all the correct word but I can certainly not find a more accurate word to describe what I'm feeling.

"Sienna..." Marcela suddenly sounds very sympathetic.

"I can handle whatever it is" I inform her after a deep breath. For the next few minutes, I am trying to rid my heart of all emotions which normally make me unsee things. This hasn't been done before but of course, there is a first time for everything!

"Good" Marcela's lips turn into a hard line. Bryan rejoins us.

"We will be very honest with you, Sienna. We had thought all this while that you and Wayne had broken up and you were aware of all these happenings but..." she looks at Bryan.

"But then you met me last week and I realised that you were still together, which is something I deem hard after knowing the truth" he says very disheartened.
