*Arizona*

I was in pure lust. I had confessed my love to the love of my life and she actually felt the same way. I was practically skipping down the hallways and went to check up on my patient who came in about 3 weeks ago because of a stomach ache but it turns out he was internally bleeding.

"Good morning Caiden." I say cheerfully.

"Good morning Doctor Robbins! Is it true?"

"Is what true?"

"I can be cleared today and go home?" He claps his hands and smiles.

"Calm down Caiden, I'm sure Doctor Robbins has some other things to take care of before we can leave." The mother shot me a wink.

"Actually I'll give you some umm discharge papers and you two can get going." I tried my best not to stutter but I was extremely embarrassed.

"Whenever you're ready." The mother says.

Luckily for me, there wasn't much for me to do for the next 6 hours. It was only 09:00 and I was thinking about taking the girls for an early lunch. Mainly so I can spend time with them and get something to eat.

"Alex!" I called him down.

"Yes?"

"Can you get Caiden Wallace's discharge papers and bring them to his mother?"

He let out a small laugh. "Why don't you do it?"

"You know why, the mom keeps flirting with me in front of her child."

"She does the same to me!" He pretends to act offended.

"Fine, can you get Helm to do it or something?" I ask frustrated, things just got good with my relationship again and I didn't want to mess anything up.

"Sure, you owe me."

I just nodded and made my way to the daycare. It was obvious that Sofia and Ava were tired of being here but every now and then they got to go to work with us.

"Mommy!" Sofia says aloud and Ava comes running behind her.

"Good morning my babies! What do you guys think about going out to eat?"

"Now?" Ava asks.

"Yes, now grab your bags and let's go."

I loved these two girls with all of my heart. When the time came, I wanted to legally adopt Sofia. I wanted Sofia and Ava to truly be sisters.

We stopped at a little diner that I was introduced to by a friend. I didn't want to go to our regular place without Callie because it wouldn't feel the same.

"Mommy?" Sofia asks.

"Yes love?"

"Will you and my Mama ever get married?" She took a sip of her orange juice.

"One day yes, one day I hope to wear a big pretty white dress and marry your Mama." I couldn't help but smile at the thought of our wedding day.

"Can we be the girls who put flowers everywhere?" Ava asks.

"Yes you two can be our flower girls."

The waitress came to take our orders after a few minutes of comfortable silence. Ava got chicken and waffles, Sofia got pancakes and bacon, and I got french toast with eggs and hash browns.

"Mommy why did you get so much food? You never eat that much?" Ava asks.

It would be my own daughter who noticed my eating patterns.

"Because I have a 2-day shift starting today, so your Aunt Teddy will pick you up and if you two are good then she'll take you guys out for ice cream or to the park."

"Can we go see Mama?" Sofia asks. These girls were full of questions.

"Your Mama is training to get stronger but her room should be moved within a few days so we can all visit her whenever we want."

I wanted the girls to see their Mama get better, I wanted to see her get better because I know she can. She's so incredibly strong and she wouldn't let one car crash ruin her career.

The car crash. Callie doesn't know what hit her, literally. She has no clue that Robert was basically the one who hit her but the police are still investigating. I told them about a week ago about what had happened.

I needed to tell Callie know but I don't know how. I looked up at the two girls in front of me. Maybe they could help?

"Girls, your Mommy needs advice, so let's say I needed to talk to someone but I can't actually go up face to face and talk to her. What can I do?" I figured they were old enough to help me out.

"Can you text or email her?" Ava asks.

I shook my head no.

"How about a letter?" Sofia suggests.

"That's perfect, god you two are so smart."

They both giggled and continued eating.

I could write her a letter and send it to someone and they can give it to her, like a messenger. I trusted a few people other than Callie to deliver the letter. I could give it to Lexie.

I realized that we were all done eating so I paid for the check, got up, and we were on the way back to the hospital. I had an hour to spare.

at the hospital

I went into my office and pulled out a sheet of lined paper and a pen. How should I start it off?

To my dearest Calliope,

I hope you're doing well today with your training, I miss you already and the girls miss you too. I'm writing this letter because there is something that I haven't told you that you should probably know. Please don't hate me for this.

I think Robert is the reason you are in the hospital now. When we were at Disneyland I saw him and he saw us together, all of us. Do you remember that night when I was screaming and begging you not to leave? It was behind I was scared. I was so scared that something was going to happen to you and I was right. I wanted to chase after you but I couldn't, I broke down completely after you left. I basically convinced myself that you were dead and that I would never see you again. Later that night Mark had came in and told me you were in the hospital, a part of me was relieved that you were alive.

Please don't hate me but I didn't go to the police immediately, I stayed with you for a couple days and with the girls and then I was finally able to report it. They got the location of the accident and are trying to find out as much as possible. I won't let him get away with this I promise.

I took the girls out to eat for an early lunch and we had a good talk. They can't wait until they can see you. I can't wait until I can see you. I'm so sorry that I've kept this from you, I love you so much.

I scanned over the letter a few times before I sealed it up.

Now, to find my messenger.

"Lexie!" I called out. She spun around immediately.

"Yes Doctor Robbins?"

"Can you deliver this to Callie, she should be in the training room."

"Of course." She smiles, she was always so perky.

"I owe you."
