*Callie*

Learning about Arizona's past changed my perspective on her. How could someone who's gonna through so much trauma in her life, be so happy and bubbly?

Right now I was focused on who was at the door. We were in the middle of nowhere and for all I know it could be a serial killer trying to kill us like a scene from a horror movie.

Arizona looked through the peephole and immediately relaxed.

"Zahra! Hey! What are you doing here?" She hugs her sister and welcomes her in.

"Well it looks like we had the same idea." Another woman walks in with her and she looks at me.

This was about to turn into one big lesbian getaway.

"Hey Callie, what happened to your leg?" Zahra asks politely before bringing in a big suitcase.

"I got into a car crash."

"Well I'm glad you're better." She smiles.

Zahra's girlfriend, Riley comes and sits next to me. "Hi, I'm Riley I don't think we've ever met." She holds out her hand.

"Callie Torres, so what brings you guys to the middle of nowhere?"

"She needed a vacation honestly, just a couple days to reconnect with each other."

I took in Riley's features. The Robbins women definitely had a type for women with darker colored skin, dark hair, and dark eyes. Riley had to be foreign.

"I guess that's what we're here for too, let's give them some privacy." I stood up and make my way to the back porch. Riley follows.

We both moved outside and sat down. Arizona and Zahra couldn't hear us.

"So what happened with your relationship?" She asks giving me a look.

That was the reason why we both were here.

"I cheated." I admitted looking at the scenery.

"Oh, well I'm not here to judge, how did Arizona take it?" She says in the least judgmental tone.

"Not so well. She ran and then came back and I suggested that we come here
so that's where we are now." I sighed, how did things end up like this. "What happened with you and Zahra?"

"We have both been so caught up in work that we had no time for each other. One of us woke up before the other and got ready, while the other woke up with a cold spot in the bed." She paused. "It doesn't sound like that big of a deal but we really lost each other, her co-workers knew her better than me."

"Honestly, I know how you feel, when I started my physical therapy Arizona and I had never felt more apart, it made my heart hurt."

"The car ride here was the longest conversation we've had in 3 weeks." She looked down at the ground.

Was there something else going on that I didn't know about?

"Zahra's brother has been on her mind a lot now too because she well proposed and her brother promised to dance at her and Arizona's weddings." She paused to show me the ring on her finger. "Then when I tried to comfort her she just pushed me away."

Maybe that was why Arizona never talked about marriage for longer and 10 minutes.

"I didn't even know Arizona had a brother until today, we never got that deep into each other's past." I admitted.

"Well her brother's name was Timothy and he died while serving our country, I think you should learn the rest yourself."

"You're right." I needed to learn the rest myself.

I wanted to explore her past. I wanted to know more about her relationships without overstepping.

Maybe her sister could help.

"Riley! You and I are going to the market because we're cooking dinner tonight." Arizona says in a more demanding but cheerful tone.

"Oh?"

"Now Callie go talk to my sister so she's not lonely." She directs me to the door.

"I kinda like this demanding side of you Little Robbins." Riley stood up and made her way to the car.

Yea, I liked it too.

Once they left I walked back in the house to see Zahra watching a movie on the tv.

She didn't notice me so I took a second to really look at everything.

I made myself a cup of tea and Zahra came and sat at the kitchen table, staring me down.

It was like we were in a staring contest and neither of us dared to back down. That is, until the kettle started whistling.

"I'm a good person ok, I never meant to hurt your sister." I finally broke the tense silence.

"Do you know how many times she's been hurt in her life? Her first girlfriend cheated on her, then Tim died and that honestly killed her inside, then her new girlfriend abused her, then she got raped and was forced to raise a child without a father figure, she was hurting, you know what you did? You hurt her even more." Her tone was harsh and cold.

Abused? Raped? I knew nothing about this. Yes she told me that she would be punished but I didn't think it was that bad. Did the second part have something to do with Robert?

"I had no clue." I said in almost a whisper.

"Of course you didn't because Arizona hides it very well and if you first met her you would think her life was perfect." She paused and took a deep breath in. "I'm sorry, you made her the happiest she's been in years and I thought you were different."

No, I needed her family to like me. "I am different, I'll prove it to you and Arizona."

She just hummed. I wanted to show them that I was better than that. I needed to prove it to Arizona. She makes me so incredibly happy and I would honestly die if she left my life.
