Something about the way Carina's nickname for Arizona made me wonder.

I trust Arizona with everything but I still can't help it.

Did they ever have a thing in the past?

Carina seemed extremely comfortable in our kitchen and in our house alone.

I couldn't get jealous of course because it's obvious that they care for one another. Arizona called Carina and Carina showed up and was there for her when I wasn't.

I wanted to tell Arizona about the papers getting signed and how nice Robert was being but now might not be the time for that.

Although Addy and I never had anything in the past, I would be lying if I said I never had the slightest crush on her.

"Robert signed the papers." I let out.

"How long did it take?"

"Not long actually, he really does have a soft spot for his little bean. He only wants what's best for her."

"Why are praising him?" She spits out in a bitter tone.

"Arizona, nobody is praising him I'm just trying to tell you what happened." I kept my cool.

"Did he say anything about our relationship?"

"Not really, when I told him he made me promise him to never give up on you guys." I grabbed her hand and rested it on her knee.

"Sorry I just lashed out like that, tell me more about what happened, did he say anything about me?"

"Well he arrived on time and then he asked where you were and I said sick then I tell him exactly what I wanted and we just go from there." I explain.

She stares at the ground for a hot second probably trying to figure what to say without lashing out again.

Her eyes were fixated on the coffee table but it looked like she was also zoning out. Almost as if she was reliving something. Then suddenly, a slight small was visible.

"Arizona?"

"Yes?"

"What are you thinking about?"

"I want so badly just to forget about him and move on but I have Ava and she means the world to me. With you adopting her, in a way, I feel like I get a chance to restart. A new beginning." She looks at me with so much love and adoration.

"This can be our new beginning, I love Mark and all but I just feel like somethings missing in my life and now I realize that it was you."

She runs her thumb across our intertwined fingers for a while before laying her head on my shoulder.

Arizona is my person. No doubt about it.

I want to have a honeymoon in Greece with her and then come home to take the girls to some kind of island.

When I think of home all I see is this moment right here.

Maybe she would let us get a dog or a cat. I would much rather want a cat for now since the girls are young and I wouldn't expect either one of them to want to take it out and pick up after it.

I definitely want to have more kids with her, Arizona is great with them.

"Do you wanna invite some people over for drinks and pizza and tell them about the good news?" Arizona blurts out.

"Tonight?"

It was only 3 but Arizona was always one to give a heads up about stuff.

"Yes, I'll send out a group text and see who all is free." She says, grabbing her phone.
