One day, I came home from school
You had treated me terribly the week before
And, like countless other times
I convinced myself to let you go
So when I went to school
And I saw you
You were a completely new person
Your hair was short
Which wouldn't seem like a big deal to most
But to me
It meant too much
You set my mind racing once again
And I fell for you
As if I were a man dancing with two left feet
I came home from school that day
And I saw my mom
"How was school?"
She asked
"She cut her hair"
"Is it long or short?"
"Short"
"Oh shit"
