I went through all of high school
Without even stressing
I thought I had hit a home run
But that last damned year
The one year that was supposed to top it off
The proverbial icing on the cake
And in a way, it was
Only if the cake was depression
And the icing was heartbreak
And honestly, I find it unfair
That not only was I robbed of a perfect year
But so were you
And I don't mean to sound selfish in any way
But I'm happy it happened
I'm happy that my senior year went to shit
Because if it hadn't, it would have been perfect
And I do not do well with perfection
Just look at everything perfect that has
Happened to me
