What most people don't understand
Is that finding "the one"
Is not a reward
You don't just find somebody and live
Happily ever after
You put in the effort
Every day for the rest of your life
To make sure that you are happy
And they are happy
That was my first mistake
Believing that the hardest part was over
And I could just cruise through
Without effort
Oh how wrong I was
Finding her wasn't my reward
It was the start of a whole new trial
