I know you had to go
I know you couldn't stay
But I wanted you to know
At least what I had to say
Do you remember fireworks
On the fourth of July?
You couldn't stay, you had to work
And caused trouble in my sky
What would have happened if you stayed
Would we still be together?
What would have happened if your heart was swayed
Would we still be forever?
I guess our moment would never come
Instead, be fireworks in the sky
Whereas they mattered not to some
But enough for me to cry
