You showed me that hard work means shit
That no matter how hard I worked for it
It would always be given to someone else
You took all of my ideals
And completely threw them away
For I have tried over and over again
To show you what you mean to me
And I did not ask for much in return
Nothing you couldn't afford
No, all I asked for
Was for you to be open-minded
To be honest about what you felt
But it seems like even honesty is too costly
So thank you for setting me straight
Thank you for teaching me how to give up
Thank you for showing me that not everything
Is worth it
