I thank God for yesterday
Today
And tomorrow
And all of the time that I am yet to borrow
For he sent me someone so special, so sweet
And so kind
One might say that he was out of his mind
But he knew what I needed
He knew who to send
He wrote it in ink, borrowing Cupid's pen
He made her with hair that floats along
With the wind
He drew on a smile that steals my heart
With each grin
He added those eyes
That shine brighter than the sun
He added her lips
Which never stop at one
Oh God and her body
It really is grand
She even made her speak Spanish
So my grandma can understand
Dear God, she is perfect
In every which way
I can't wait to see her
At the start of each day
