"I heard about her, she's bad for you."
"Like you were any better."
"She's going to ruin you."
"Then let her."

Christmas was the only time of the year when nothing bad ever occurred. Though, it was the Willsons and Radcliffs first Christmas without Griffon Bronx. He spent it with the Gunners and Rowleys. I was happy for them and hopefully next year we'd all come together.
Like every year, Linda visited us with her kids and they sang a Christmas Carol. After we gave them the cookies and eggnog, Levi and I snuck off to my room to discuss how we'd tell our parents we're finally together. It wasn't hard by the time we had dinner and Levi blurted it out.
"Oh, we know." Richard nodded and Levi froze from putting a carrot into his mouth to turn to his dad.
"How?" I asked and kicked Levi before his father embarrassed us.
"Miranda and Jennifer stopped by yesterday looking for you." Mom explained and I let out a sigh of relief while Levi's shoulders relaxed. "When I said you were with Levi, they weren't surprised and Jennifer said you guys looked cute together."
"Which I've been saying from day one!" Aunt Jade raised her wineglass.
With Levi's mom as our biggest supporter, we easily slipped out of the house the day after Christmas. We finally got to hang out together as a group. Everyone was here apart from Melissa.
First, we settled on street racing. The last race of the year. Like the good old days, Ethan let Carter and Blake borrow one of the family sports cars.
The first round was between Ethan, Aidan, and two other drivers. Luckily, Aidan's shining Subaru won, and we all cheered when Tiffany ran up to him when he got out of the car. The second round was Carter, Levi, Ethan, and Blake. Us girls stayed in the bistro and applauded at Ethan in his Chevy Corvette. Round three comprised Levi, Blake, and two other drivers. Levi won a glorious amount of money which we used to bet on Axel in his fight he invited us to next.

Tonight, he went up against a guy twice his size. Levi was hesitant at first to bet but I believed in Axel. He loved fighting no matter what and could've gone up against anyone.
The base was busy tonight. No ice chilling snow or triples of rain stopped the crowd that emerged. We got front row on Axel's left side. As always, I leaned against the fence and screamed. It gave me a sense of adrenaline. To shout profanities in a place where it's welcomed.
The second round, Blake was beside me and yelled at his brother. Blake rarely said anything when Axel fought but tonight he shook the fence with me. Axel turned with a smile and a sudden rage took over him when he raised his leg and kneed the guy in the face. The crowd went wild. With a tight fist, Axel punched the guy left and right until he collapsed against the fence. Axel's legs and fists moved rapidly while the blood spouted and dripped onto the cold concrete. With one last hit, the man slumped to the floor and tapped out. Axel threw his arms in the air and rounded the cage in triumph. That night everyone celebrated their wins but Levi and I snuck off to his apartment.
