Vehement Speech
I didn't think it through. I felt bad because no one was available and it sort of fell out. I had a motorcycle compared to all of them.
It had to be the day that Levi's parents decided to come. Mom worked so I couldn't use her car, and Axel and Tamia were out of town already. Ever since the incident at the cottage, Ethan's dad became strict, especially with his cars. Carter went out with his mother and sister who arrived yesterday while Aidan took Tiffany on a date that they planned for a long time. Miranda couldn't lend her mother's car, and Jennifer's family hated us. Nick and Melissa were busy, although Liam offered then he realized he didn't have a car.
Great. Of all the days that everyone was busy. Well, not entirely everyone.
Luckily, I was available also Keene and Jaden. The perfect people to help Lana to the most important interview of her life. I didn't know why Jaden tagged along because his car was in service but he was free so he decided to come for 'moral' support. Keene didn't own a car and often took public transport because he lived in the city. Hence the idea of public transportation.
Keene and Jaden came together while I came with my motorcycle to Lana's house. I detected neither of her parents was home, but the security guard was visible. The house appeared to be quiet from the outside, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were on the inside. Ever since Lana came from the hospital, she's been less talkative. It's a lot to go through in such a short period of time. That's why I'm glad I did this like I'd have anything better to do on a Thursday.
"Yo, Gunner, ever used public transport here?" Jaden asked as we walked up the porch. I shook my head to which he squirmed. "Well, don't it's nasty...don't know how this guy does it every day."
"You get used to it, plus it isn't that bad." Keene shrugged as he raised his arms so that the security guard could search him.
"Is Lana awake?" I asked and checked my phone because we didn't have much time. It'd take longer to get there through public transport.
The security guard gave a curt nod then opened the front door. After he searched Jaden and me, we walked into the peaceful home. I heard sudden movements and thought it was the guys, but it was Lana. She was in the kitchen when she passed us, still in her pajamas.
"Sh*t, who's gonna' help her get ready?" Keene mumbled as we heard clanks and squeaks in the kitchen.
"Keene you're busy with the route we have to take and Gunner over here gets all excited whenever he sees Lana," Jaden emphasized as I scrunched up my nose.
"Bullsh*t, he's lying." I hissed as Jaden raised his brows.
"Really? I heard you carried her down the stairs after she took her bath, did you help her with her clothes too?" Jaden tilted his head as my jaw tightened in annoyance. I stepped toward him, but Keene held me back.
"Jaden quit being a dick; you just lost your chance at helping her," Keene said as he rolled his eyes.
"What? I've watched her have her first drink, first joint and a whole lot of other things that I might get slaughtered for." Jaden pointed out as Keene, and I looked at him.
"Blake, just go help her. We're wasting time." Keene muttered then turned to Jaden. "You just...stay out of trouble."
Jaden and Keene continued to bicker, but I left them and went to the kitchen. I found Lana Willson in her wheelchair by the sink. She must've finished breakfast because she dumped her mug and plate in the sink.
