"If you want to break these walls down,
you're going to get bruised"STARVING AND EXHAUSTED WERE TWO OF THE THINGS THAT A VAMPIRE SHOULD NOT BE, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
However, unfortunately for Regina, she was both of those things.Practically malnourished, Regina had began to notice as her health quickly deterioraed before her very eyes. Every day, when she wasn't too exhausted to stand, she would look in the floor-length mirror that stood in the middle of the room.
Her eyes had begun to dim, and big bags hung beneath them. Pale and pasty her skin had become, and her figure was starting to become thin and lanky.
She hated the look of herself, and she often wondered whether wasting away like this, was all that life had in store for her.
It was around this time, when Lloyd would come to visit her room, and talked to her, even though she never replied.
All three kings also came, each on separate occasions, but not once did she leave her room.
Just days ago, Aro and Marcus, along with Felix, Demetri and Alec, had gone to check up on the Cullens, which left Caius, Lloyd, Jane and the unknown named guard to defend the castle and essentially her.
"Love, it's me."
It was Lloyd, again. He was her main visitor, coming every day to talk to her and update her on what was going on in the castle.
"Cauis misses you. Love, he's going mad without you, knowing that you're upset with him. He's stopped feeding and just looks up at the ceiling all day, thinking about he shouldn't've dishonoured you; when he isn't doing that, he's executing people. Love, I fear he's reverting back to his old ways."
Regina didn't want to care about Cauis after what he had done, but a small part of her heart broke, when she heard this.
Honestly, Regina felt a shock to her core, when she found out he missed her, but still she couldn't quite believe it.
A part of her, thought that he was just being like that so that he could just use her again, play with her emotions, purely for his enjoyment.
Though there was the other side, that thought him to be completely genuine, and to be fair, without his love, she too was going mad, though she just didn't want to admit it to herself.
"Love, please come out. It hurts me to not even be able to properly see you."
Regina was silent. She was seeing everything in a new light.
Although this was caused by something she found to be completely unnecessary, this selfish isolation, was eating away at everyone, not just her.
And so, for the first time, in a long time, Regina stood and walked to the door, hand on the doorknob, fully intent on pulling it open, and everything going back to normal, whatever normal was anyway.
"Love..."
Regina could heat the heartbreak in his voice, and she just wanted to heal that heartbreak, and she knew that she just had to open that door.
It was then that a scream sprang from his throat, and immediately Regina slammed open the door, fearing for his life.
I'm so so sorry guys for not updating, but writer's block hit me pretty hard, and I just didn't know how to write this.
On another note, I promise I'll update again soon!
