"I'm headed straight for the castle."
REGINA CRIED SO MUCH THAT NIGHT, WITH SO MUCH RAW PENT-UP EMOTION, AND THE FACT THAT SHE REALLY HAD NO IDEA WHAT SHE HAD TO DO. It was so much so, that she fell to sleep in exhaustion, wishing for something, anything to happen to stop the Romanian's rule of terror.
Instead of getting was she wished for, a solution, she received comfort from the most influential people in her life, and honestly in her sleep-drunken mind, that was enough for her.
She was in her childhood home, and she watched attentively as her mother cooked.
Florence chopped up the carrots, and had paused to get the other veg, when her father wrapped his arms tightly around her waist from behind, and leant his chin on the crook of her neck.
Regina found that as they were in the kitchen, she was stood in the doorway.
She couldn't help but wonder about whether, if she moved, they would be able to hear her, or continue to do what they were doing as if she was invisible, or purely didn't exist.
It took a moment of contemplation, but in the end Regina stepped forward, and when she did, both of her parents turned their heads towards her and smiled.
Her father released his mother, as she came towards her, and hugged her, before she held her at arms length, and stroked her face tenderly.
"It was so nice to meet you again, Regina, but for now you are needed.
You need to wake up."
But Regina didn't want to wake up.
Her parents, after being dead for so long, were here, right in front of her, and she wasn't going to let go of them any time soon.
Her mother sighed and let go of her, before she looked to where her father stood.
He walked towards her, and smiled gently, before he hugged her.
"You've been so good, daughter of mine, but now you need to wake up."
Regina opened her mouth to protest, but her father moved his hands to her cheeks.
"Wake up!"
And she did.
A pair of hands shook her, and brought her fully to consciousness, but not before scaring the life out of her.
"Ah!"
She looked up, and there before her, was Blair.
She looked a little rugged, per say, but apart from that she looked to be okay.
Regina hugged Blair with all her might, before she sat up, and patted the bed at the side of her.
Blair took a seat, and held her hand, before she rested her head on Regina's shoulder.
"Oh My God. You have no idea how good it is to see you."
Although it did surprise her a little, she should've know better than to underestimate Blair's ability.
You see, Blair could shapeshift, and although it was usually birds, she could transform into practically anything, if she chose to.
After some time, in which they used to catch up with each other, Blair handed Regina a letter, in an plain envelope, sealed by the Queen of the werewolves herself, who was now their ally and their best shot at survival.
The letter told her of how the Queen was in the process of gathering troops, and to just hang on, for as long as she could.
It appeared that the Cullens and the Denali were helping too, for although they disliked the Volturi as rulers, they despised the Romanians more.
Not only that, but the fact that they had captured Carlisle was just another added to the list.
*****
It didn't take Regina long, and soon she had finished her letter to the Queen.
In it, Regina detailed the location of each of them, and more importantly how to get there.
It was at that point Dawn chose to come into the room, not realising that Regina had company, and closed the door gently behind her, as to not seriously alert the others.
She held in her arms, a candle, a spell book, and some crystals, things that Dawn had never really used before, but was willing to try.
Regina nodded to Dawn, whose intention was to heal the bruising done to her neck, from where Vladimir had squeezed, and her back, from where she had landed on the floor.
Blair growled, and Dawn looked at her, almost in shock from just realising that she was there.
Regina went to hold Blair and calm her down, but Blair had already turned at this point.
And so, in front of Regina stood a griffin, the same size as the shapeshifters were in their wolf form.
*****
"Hey, hey, calm down. She's helping me."
Blair let out another growl, a warning of sorts, before her form shrunk down to that of her human figure.
She glared at the girl, who backed away a little bit from it's intensity.
"If I find out that you screwed us over, I'm gonna make sure your death is long and painful. Got it?"
Dawn gulped and nodded, and Regina chose that moment to cut in.
"Now then," she started, and looked towards Blair, "are you going to be leaving us?"
Blair sighed and smiled gently, "I'm afraid so; can't having the Romanians knowing what's coming, can we?"
The left side of Regina's mouth lifted into a smirk, before she stood and hugged her friend and adopted sister.
"I'll see you again, I hope."
"Till next time."
*****
"Soooo, she was nice." Dawn mumbled, as she set up the candles and the crystals.
Regina smiled in fondness. "Yes she is, though she doesn't trust easily, and as you found out, is rather protective."
Dawn smiled, as she watched Regina look at the window Blair had just flown out of, an unfocused lost look in her eyes.
"That's a good thing, though, I hope that we can become friends."
Regina snapped out of it, and glanced toward her, sat within a circle of candles, ready to help heal the bruises that had appeared around her neck, and back.
"Me too, hun. Me-"
Regina's words were cut off, as a flash of white light momentarily blinded them.
Regina groaned, and felt for Dawn's hand and grasped it, to make sure she was still there.
"Was that part of the plan?"
Dawn sighed heavily, and shook her head, and then realised that Regina couldn't see her.
"No."
The light began to fade and Regina could only just make out the outline of three figures; three women in white.
"For once, Wicked Witch of the West is right."
I'm really sorry it's so long you guys.
