"And there's an old man sitting on the throne that's saying that I probably shouldn't be so mean."

NEWS OF A CURE, A FEW DAYS LATER, TOOK REGINA AND THE VOLTURI, TO A KINGDOM IN RUSSIA. From the outset it seemed like any other, but when they ventured inside they realised that it was one of the few remaining werewolf kingdoms to exist.

If Caius had known about it earlier, he would've destroyed them, but they were all thankful that that information had been hidden from him, lest to not start another war.

Talking of Cauis, he had been made to stay at the castle, with Carlisle, Demetri, Felix, Blair and Heidi to take care of him and guard him, as well as Athenodora and Sulphia acting rulers.

They approached the castle cautiously, as they saw the looks that the werewolves were giving them, and how they parted like the Red Sea when they came close.

Some scowled and mocked, and some cowered away in terror, but none of them actually talked, and neither did they ask why they were there.

The grand doors opened, and they were led into the throne room by some guards, wearing chainmail, and leather, with some kind of hind as a scarf around their necks.

An old man sat on the throne of the werewolves, a golden crown filled with opals on his head.

A fine cloak of satin adorned his back, fitted with hind, and instantly all the vampires grew anxious, and closed their ranks, to protect the queen, and their kings.

Regina stood with Jane to her right, and seeing she was nervous, took Jane's hand in hers.

She ran her thumb along her hand, which calmed the both of them.

The king beckoned them forward, and monitored for them to speak.

Aro was the one who did,
"My brother," he began, before glancing over to where Lloyd stood, on the other side of Regina, "was scratched by a werewolf, and it seems to have infected his system."

"We," he said, and motioned to the rest of them, "seek a cure to help him."

The old king leaned forward in the throne, and used his thumb and forefinger to stroke his bread while he thought.

"And what do you want me to do exactly."

This wasn't what Aro was hoping for. A quick solution maybe, he wanted Caius to be at his full strength again, but this was different, and he wasn't sure how to respond.

"I-"

He started, but as no words came from his moth, Regina stepped forward and answered for him.

"We humbly ask you to let us receive any knowledge of the cure, and in return we will give you anything you ask."

The king hummed, and sat back in the throne, before he looked at Aro and Marcus.

"Is this true? You would give us anything?"

Aro swallowed and hesitated. He had no idea what he was getting himself, and the rest of them into. He didn't like no knowing. But as he looked to Regina, his love, their love, he knew this was the right thing to do.

"Yes, anything."

******

The king got up, and motioned for a figure with a cloak to come forward.

As soon as the figure took down their hood, gasps were heard from the little crowd that had gathered at the open doorway.

The figure was a woman, beautiful dark skin, and eyes like honey.

Everyone geniflected, and she approached the throne, and nodded to the "king."

"Thank you, Dominic."

The man smiled, bowed and went to stand at her left side.

"My pleasure, my Queen."

For everyone else, the vampires at least, they were all reasonably confused.

"So, what just happened?" Alan asked, practically encased into Lloyd's side.

But no one answered until Marcus spoke up,
"I really don't know."

Letitia Wright as Freya, because she is a queen.
