How did you discover Wattpad?

My best friend had told me about a Harry Styles fanfic (After) and even though I'm not a huge 1D fan I was still intrigued by the plot, so I looked it up. And thus the beginning of my love affair with wattpad.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I have been on Wattpad for 10 months now, and I am on it every day. I'm positive I am addicted, seriously Wattpad is just as addicting as tumblr and Dr. Pepper.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

My username is my first name, but there's not deep complex meaning to it.

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

I've been writing since third grade. It's been the only constant in my life and books have always been my haven. My aunt was the first person to really push my writing. She buys me a new journal every year and she has been doing such since I was ten.

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

My favorite authors have to be (hardest decision of my life fyi) JK Rowling (Potterhead 'til death), JRR Tolkien, and John Green (Looking For Alaska for life). I love adventure books, young adult novels, and of course the paranormal/vampire/wizard/fallen angel genre.

Do you want a career in writing?

I would love to have a career in writing. In fact, my mom and I have a bet going. If I am a published author before I am 21 I am allowed to get a sleeve that she will pay for. I know being published before 21 is hard, but I'm dedicated and it's my passion, and I chose a tattoo sleeve because each tattoo will represent a book and a place I have traveled to.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

My best friend and my aunt support me the most in writing. My aunt is the one who has really pushed me into writing, and my best friend has been so amazing in being there for me and continuing to push me in my writing.

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

My first wattpad story (and only so far) is As I Lay. I would put the genre as a young adult paranormal romance. As I Lay summary: When Clara Preston's parents were killed in a tragic accident she never thought she would experience a greater pain. But after finding a love greater than time and stronger than death, will she throw away the world she has known for a love that has always been? Love, betrayal, secrets and lies consume Clara's life and the only light guiding her is of the flames that murdered her parents.

What inspired you to write it?

I got the idea of As I Lay from a dream, it was terrible and beautiful all at once and I really hope I am able to execute that in my writing.

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

I try to update every couple of weeks, the last time I updated was last night and that had been the first time in a long time that I had updated, but that was due to some family emergencies.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

My chapters are anywhere from 3-5 wattpad pages, and as I aiming to become a published author I tend to write lengthier chapters. In all honesty though I think it just depends on the book and style.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

At one point As I Lay had over 300 reads and I was so proud for that small amount, but after some major revisions the reads dropped to 75. At first I was upset by this sudden decrease, but I realized that the amount of reads didn't matter. I love writing and maybe I'm not good at it, maybe I am. The only person I am doing this for is me and the amount of reads I have are just a number not a definition.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

Pick up a pen (or start typing) and don't stop. Just let the words flow through your body and bleed onto the page. AVOID EDITORS HAND, you will seriously get nowhere. One person's opinion doesn't matter. The amount of reads doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is if you truly care about what you're writing and what you think of it.

Oh my god, where to start. I started reading her book, and I am hooked. It's amazing and the whole first chapters are making me want to find out what happens so badly. Anyway, I totally recommend it. Go check it out!!
