How did you discover Wattpad?

I discovered Wattpad through reading a newspaper article about someone who won a publishing contract. 

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I have been on Wattpad for 2 years and I'm on nearly everyday.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

My username is J_A_Brown there isn't a meaning behind it. It is just my name Jessika Alice Brown. 

Why did you start writing?

I started writing as it was something to do. 

What age did you discover your love for it?

I started writing when I was 12 and immediately found myself addicted. 

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!)

I don't really have a favourite writer. I'm one of those people who writes more than they read.

What is your favourite genre?

Again I don't really have a favourite, I will read almost anything. 

Do you want a career in writing?

most definitely. I am actually in the process of getting one of my books ready to go to the publishers. 

Who supports you the most in your writing?

My mother supports me a lot with my writing. I bounce story ideas from her and I like to know her opinion.

What is your book called?

Black Heart: A Vampire's Son

What genre is it?

Vampire

What is it about (2/3 lines)?

its about a young boy who discovers he is a Vampire. He then has to leave his adopted family and move in with his real family. 

What inspired you to write it?

I love the TV show Young Dracula and wanted to write a Vampire story.

How often do you update?

I don't have a computer so I can't update as much as I would like. 

When was it last updated?

I think I updated in July, but I've got another chapter nearly ready to go up. So I'll update soon.

How long are your chapters?

On Wattpad they are 14 pages long.

Do you think short or long chapters are better?

I think it depends on the story and how good it is. No one wants to read 20 pages on a load of rubbish. 

Are you proud of how well your book has done?

Yes. A lot of people really enjoy reading it.

Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

Yes. It's taken a while, but I've reached the 2,000 mark.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

1: just do it. If you want to write, don't let anything hold you back.

2: for Gods sake enjoy it. If you enjoy writing it people will enjoy reading it.

3: don't give up. If people aren't reading it its probably because they don't know it's there.

Checking out this author's books made me realise that she obviously loves McFly, like seriously loves McFly. So if you ever, ever want to read about McFly or McBusted, I can only direct you towards her.
